She reached out her hand while slightly touching my ugly face, despite the scar that made me a monster. Even when everyone around me avoids and whispers back at me after that accident. But you and she are the only ones beside me.
“Let me heal you, dear..” the other said as she smiled beautifully beside the woman. She smiles gently at a creature like me.
Why are they so different from others who abandoned me when I needed them?
Why do they care for me?
Why do they want to protect a beast?
Why do they look at me like I was something precious?
Why are they so kind to me?

Those thoughts still linger deep in my mind. Those memories are the first ones that shine in my life. Those hands are the ones who protect and care for me.
The only thing that I can do to them is protect them with these hands.
These sword shall be slaughter all who make my King upset
These shield shall be the one who protect my Queen
These hands shall be the protection for my King and Queen.
These-
“What are you thinking, my beloved gems~” a soft and gentle voice interrupted my mind as it made me realize that I was just daydreaming.
I look at my king, Jireh, staring deep at me while drinking a cup of tea. She smiles always making me all nervous.
I try to compose myself as I don’t want her to see me making a mistake “It’s nothing, My King..”
“Nothing you say~” she raised one of her eyebrows “You are not a good liar, Nakoma..” Then without hesitation her hand started traveling down to my chin. Her emerald eyes staring deep at me while she reveals a smirk. She always had those habits. She always like to play my feeling.
I forgot that she is taller than me, and it's making me nervous for those eyes staring at me. It makes me feel weaker as in a minute she can sweep my feet away from the floor.
I try so hard to hide blush as our face getting closer “Why don’t you spill me the tea, dear~”
Being with her so much closer, I can smell the fragrance of lavender. Why is she getting so much closer!! The atmosphere is supposed to be chilly, but today it's getting warm because of a certain person. Today’s weather says that today is gonna be a sunny day, but it seems like there is now a sun that is staring deep at me.
Out of nowhere, maybe less then a second, someone came into the garden. And luckily it helps me get away from her. I am now standing three meters from her.
“Jireh!” A sweet voice coming from the bushes. And just then the person came out and revealed her brown hair, dark eyes, and those beautiful red dresses. Her beauty cannot be compared to any fairies in the land. Not even god can surpass her beauty.
And that is why she was wedded to King Jireh Exodus. Now she is known as the Queen of Voidwalker, Lily Exodus.
“My Queen~” Jireh said as she was now distracted by her beautiful Queen. She then walked toward Lily and kissed her forehead “I miss you, flowers..”
“Jireh… we’ve only been apart like two hours ago..”
“I know… but still I miss you and want you to be by my side.”
Slowly, Jireh gives lots of kisses to Lily. From forehead, cheeks, nose, chin, and then- nothing else since you guys know that they are so passionate in loving each other, that they forgot that I even exist.
I am very happy that even though it was an arranged marriage, they still love each other.
‘And that makes me feel left ou-’ No… how can I say that? I need to stop thinking about something ill.
Maybe this is the time for me to flee peacefully.
As I slowly walk away from them, they notice that I move and decide to look at me.
“Where do you think you're going, dear~” Jireh said as her voice sounded so teasing “You haven’t even told me what’s on your mind?”
Lily started to get interested in the topic as she then let go of her King and went toward me. “Oh my~ Really!” she said innocently
“You have to tell me too, dear! I don’t want to be left out!” Lily cutely pouts as her arms tangle to my arms pulling me closer to her.
I hesitate as the sudden action makes my heart flutter a bit “I-I.. there is nothing..” Seems like both of them are not looking very convinced at my word “Really.. My Queen, I just thought of something unnecessary..”
“And these unnecessary things shall be uncovered..” Jireh said as she went to drink her tea again. And while that Lily was still unintentionally letting me go.
I can only sighed as I have to say it out loud. This is gonna be embarrassing for me.
I take a deep breath before then I start to talk. “I just thought of always wanting to protect you guys whenever there is danger. I want to be the shield that you guys can carry me alone.” I said while looking down not wanting to see their reaction. I continue “And I know that I am not the strongest knight in Voidwalker, but if I'm being greedy. I want to be the one who protects you guys..”
And after I'm done with my confession, silence is the answer.
Both of them didn’t speak. And I, of course, didn't have the courage to look at them.
I know that it is a cliche for me to say that. But I just want them to know that I am forever their knight and nothing more.
Just then a hand tapped my shoulder while then a gentle voice started to speak “Nakoma, look at me..”
It was Lily who suddenly got serious all of the sudden.
I looked at her straight and that was the shocking thing that I had done. Because the next thing that happened was her hugging me. Hugging my dirty armor, that recently was covered in blood.
No word was said as Jireh walked slowly toward me as well. She smiles as her hand raises to my chin. “My gemstone.. What you said and what you thought were so beautiful..”
“And I am very grateful to have you by my side as a knight..” she let go her hand on my chin and soon took one my hand while slowly kissing it “And as lover as well, love..”
“I-i..” I stammered what happened at the moment. But what made it worse is Lily was hugging me, suddenly pulling me down closer to her and I suddenly felt a kiss on my cheeks.
“Don’t leave me behind, gems..” she pouted cutely as her grip on my waist was still firm.. “I was about to say that but Jireh always goes ahead..”
“You and I always know that our gemstone is the best..”
“I know… which is why I want to be the one who says that..” Jireh chuckles at Lily's comments. I on the other hand flustered as Lily was still hugging me. I’m afraid that my armor will ruin her red dress.
But despite all of that, she just became clingy more as Jireh noticed my flustered.
“Lily, darling. I think it's better to let go our gemstone, who knows if there will be a volcano if you don't let her go now.”
Notice the situation, Lily looks up and sees my face. Her reaction was like Jireh, smirking at me..
“Aww… you look so cute when you blush like that!”
“S-stop… it's embarrassing..” I stuttered.
“Nonsense, you look cute when you act like that..” Lily chuckled as she finally let me go, but hands still holding my own. “And I'm really thankful for that..”
They are too kind for me
They are so pure and kind for this world
“I love you, Nakoma..” it was Lily who said it. While I was stunned by those words. ‘Love’?
She loves me..?
My Queen loves me..?
Why can she always say those words so easily? Why those word cannot be let out of mine too?Why can’t I tell them how I feel about them too? Why does my mouth feel so numb from saying those words?
“I love you too, my gemstone~” It was Jireh who was now saying as she knew, staring deep at me. Those beautiful emerald eyes looking at my yellow black eyes. She gave me those tender gaze again.
My King loves me too…?
They love me too…?
Why do they love a beast like me?
Why are they so kind to me?
Those love confessions could not be continued as I could not say those words. They said it’s fine if I can’t say it out loud. They say they know my feelings more than me.
And it was love.
It was love who stopped the bad time.

Early after those incidents, everything went the same as always. Jireh is doing her best as King to make the kingdom peaceful and strong. Lily is always doing her best as Queen to accompany the King in meetings, conferences and anywhere. Whenever the King had to go alone, she decided to go to the library to read some of her favorite books. Science, flowers, and math.
That is her activity. And after she is done in the library, she asks her knight, Nakoma to accompany her taking a stroll in the garden. When she arrived at the garden, she began to pick one of many flowers. As a knight, she could only watch her from afar so that she would not destroy a beautiful image.
After she picked the flowers that she wanted, Lily ran toward her knight giving her the sunflower as a gift. In her hand, there is one red rose, one lavender, and one sunflower. She said to her knight that she wanted to put those flowers in her chamber. Her knight can only smile as the sun comes down to sleep, they decide it is time to end their stroll and go back to their separate way.
Deep in Nakoma’s heart, she can feel a warm feeling that tangles her. The sunflower that her Queen gave her, shall she keep it forever. She feels happy and will always be happy if tomorrow will always be the same as today.
But really… such a dream is sweet like candy.
Reality really is really sour and bitter.
Just now, one of the advisors announced that the enemy's kingdom wanted to set a war on Voidwalker. Which is odd since Jireh is the kind of King that wants peace in her land and she never really likes fighting with others. But it seems like the enemy had their own reason as they just want to rule the whole new world, which is actually too greedy for them.
Jireh then commanded one of her best captains in her palace, Kasumo to lead the war. He bowed to her and went straight to the basement ready to lead the war with his comrade.
While Nakoma saw that she went to her highness and bowed to both of them.
“My King.. My Queen.. I had one request that I wanted to make.” She said while still bowing her head down.
The King and Queen went silent as they knew what the Knight wanted. They want to ignore her request, but they can’t as they are the rulers, not Jireh and Lily. They are the King and Queen who will hear every request of their citizens.
Lily frowned as she saw that Nakoma would not raise her head until one of them spoke. Seeing her Queen frustrated, Jireh can only slowly do her best as King and hear the request from her knight.
“Raise your head, Knight Nakoma..” and just that Nakoma slowly raises her head and sees the two that she loves and cares about. Both of them try to hold their expression. But as her knight, she is sharp and knows what is on their mind. She ignored it of course since now she wants to do something that she always wanted.
“You may talk now..” her voice was cold but her eyes are looking at her knight anxious.
“Thank you My King.” She bowed her head and raised again. She started to say, “I wanted to join Captain Kasumo in this war. Let me be his companion as we will bring victory to Voidwalker..”
As she did with her request. No words were said to the King and the Queen. Only then an applause came from the advisor, cheering the idea for the knight going to a war. “That is a splendid idea, Knight Nakoma. With you and Captain Kasumo, there is no way that the enemy will win!!”
While the advisor is cheering for Nakoma’s request, Lily looks sharply at the advisor making him stop applause and silent. She looks at Jireh and Jireh looks at her.
Both of them really want to reject the request as they want to keep their knight safe from the outside. But keeping her from the outside makes her feel trapped. And they don’t want that. Both of them know their knight’s talents, she is the strongest after Captain Kasumo, so there is no way there will be a disaster right?
After several minutes, Jireh decided and she began to talk “Very well.. You shall come with Captain Kasumo to the war..”
“Thank you.. My King, My Queen. I and Captain Kasumo will make sure that we will win this war!” Nakoma said as she smiled proudly.
This time she will bring honor and victory to them.
She will make Kingdom Voidwalker win the war
With these hands that she’s been blessed, she shall slaughter those enemies.

“ATTACK!!!!!”
“ENEMY SPOTTED ON NORTH!!!”
“FIGHT FOR VOIDWALKER!!!!!”
The sounds of sword clashing was always satisfying in Nakoma's ears as she felt music that was coming. She and Kasumo are a great team. While Kasumo attacks the enemy in front of him, Nakoma is behind his back ready to shield her comrade.
Kasumo is one of the other people that Nakoma adores, ever since in the training room he is the one who wanted to be her friend despite how she looks. She is grateful to Kasumo by her side.
And just then without knowing someone was already in front of Nakoma, ready to kill her. It was too fast, but just then the enemies lost his life as there was a sword piercing through his body. It was Kasumo.
“Stop distracting yourself!” He said while pulling Nakoma closer to him “This is still a war. You can daydream later, okay?”
In this kind of situation, Nakoma couldn’t help but chuckle “Why thank you Captain Kasumo, for helping my backs..”
“As always we will have each other back.. So Stop distracting and finish this war or if you don’t want I will have my own fun..”
Both laugh as their sword already had eyes on the enemies chest.
“Entertain me, Kasu~”
“He~ Watch and learn, Ko!”
Both of them smile brightly as the enemy's blood covers their face and armor. It's fine since they will have a hot shower and warm bed after this.
Several days had passed as the war already predicted who would win in the end. But the enemy is too stubborn as he lets all his backup soldiers attack the Voidwalker, which is actually stupid.
Is the king from the enemy side stubborn or stupid?
Nakoma and Kasumo can only laugh at it while slaughtering all the enemies. And just then the Voidwalker’s knights succeed to slaughter the enemies and attack their basecamp, leaving the stupid, stubborn bastard alone.
“Yo-You! How dare you come here! Guard kill them!!!” The enemy guard does as he says as they try to attack but fatal as their own life has already been taken away.
The three guards now lay dead in front of the king. The fear on his face reveals as he now doesn’t have any back up. He tried to run away, but alas he was trapped as all the knights already surrounded him. “Stay-s-stay away from me!! I am a king!! You shall bow to me !!!”
His scream is like a rooster which is quite annoying. Kasumo decides to arrest him.
“Do Not Touch Me, you’re Disgusting! You are not qualified to touch me!!”
“If you don’t shut for now. I will cut your tongue!” Kasumo said as he stared coldly at the King. “Get some rope so that we can tie him up..”
The others obey as they went off to get some rope to tie that stupid King.
“So what are we gonna do with him?” Nakoma asked as she cleaned her sword. Her eyes already stared at the King as her thought was trying to decide what fate shall he get..
“How about we sell his organs, I bet will get thousands?” Kasumo said teasing
“Nah I think no one wants to buy his organs..” Nakoma replied while making Kasumo laugh “You're right.. No one wants those ugly organs..”
Both of their conversations had been interrupted as the other knight already brought the rope and tied the enemy up.
Kasumo then decides it is time for all of them to go home. Their mission was done. They catch the enemy and are ready to bring it to his King.
He then commanded all the knights to prepare their horse. While they are already on the outside of the camps. The walk was quite loud because the knight of Voidwalker had already started to cheer for each other while making plans of what they wanted to do the next time they were back at the palace.
Nakoma on the hand was talking to Kasumo, when suddenly she got an odd feeling.
“What’s wrong?” Kasumo ask as he notices something on Nakoma's mind.
“....Nothing, I just feel weird.” Nakoma continued, “How can a rooster quickly become a turtle all of the sudden?”
At first he didn’t understand but then when he turned back he knew what Nakoma meant, the king that was screaming at first suddenly became quiet and walked slowly. He couldn't help but start to laugh so hard that everyone could hear. Nakoma punched his stomach to make him quiet.
“Ouch..ouch.. My stomach..”
“Well you better stay quiet before I punch those abs again..”
“Damn you really are perv you know, looking at men abs~”
“I’m Not! I just can feel it when I punch you in the stomach..”
“Still pervy~”
“Am not!!”
Both of them started to laugh and fight a bit while then they decided to stop joking and started to get serious. Nakoma was walking straight when suddenly her eyes spotted something behind one of the trees beside Kasumo. It moves.. Is it a wind?
Maybe it is, but it was not. Just then reveal a man in the hood ready to pull on an arrow. It shocked Nakoma. The arrow was pointed at Kasumo. It wants to shoot Kasumo!
Without a split second the arrow was let go and it was really aiming toward Kasumo.
“KASU-” Nakoma screams as she pushes Kasumo away as the arrow now lands on her chest. It was too late for Kasumo to realize that he had been saved by her. But the consequence is Nakoma let out lots of blood!
He began panicking as he ran toward to pick his comrade. He screams to one of the comrades to bring a med kit. He pulled her closer as his hand was full of blood. The blood was not stopping. He called her name over and over to make her stay awake.
While other knights become panicking because one of them gets attacked, there is one person that looks at the scene with a smile on his face.
He started to laugh maniacally as it was noticed by Kasumo and others.
“I KILL HER!!”
“ I DID IT!!!” He said while he started to laugh again “ I KILL THE BEAST! THE BEAST!! YOU HEAR ME!! YOU LOSE, I WIN VOIDWALKER!!! I KILL THE MONSTER OF VOIDWALKE-” he became silent as one of the knights punched him in the face!
Kasumo can see his eyes getting red as he wanted to kill that bastard! But he can’t. Not when Nakoma breathes become slower.
“Take him to that crate and tight him up! Tight his hand, his mouth, and legs! We will deal with these later” he said as he picked Nakoma up “WE NEED MED KIT!!!!!”
He began running faster toward the camp to seek aid. He can’t lose a friend in this war! Not again! As he runs, he can hear someone calling his name, he can hear his friend calling. “Kasu…”
“I won’t let you go, Ko! You hear me! You have to stay awake!” he said while tears started to drop from his eyes.
“I..it's dark, Ka-zu-” Nakoma starts to cough in blood which makes Kasumo panic as he knows how to speed his run.
“Don’t worry.. Everything is going to be alright…. We will be back.. And you will be aid…. Please Nakoma don’t leave me!!!”
“Kasu… I can’t see you. It's dark…” Nakoma could only feel water falling down to his face. Is he crying?
She can’t move anything except her mouth. But she can feel her throat dry as continue coughing..
If this is the last time she will see her friends, she needs to tell him..
“Thank you…Kasu for being my f-f-friend..”
“Stop saying that! You are going to be okay! I promise-!”
“Than- you for being by my side, captain..”
“No No NO NO don’t say that!!”
Nakoma can only solemnly smile at him. she continued to talk for one last time “P-please tell them that… I am very grateful-”
“I am grateful to be their knight and-”
The last word Nakoma couldn’t say any longer as her world started to get blurred and darker. The dark then consumes her soul quickly. She regretted that she couldn’t say the last word.
She regret that she never tell them how she feel
If only the good time stop
I will gladly spend more time with them as a lover
If only I have the courage
I will say “ I love you ” numerous time

I cannot go back to the place that you called home
