Psi had been practicing just like papa had said. He was able to make a controlled portal and hold it if he was concentrating. He had been holding a rather large one infront of him when someone knocked into him.
The portal connected with the floor and suddenly they were falling. For most of the kids this was a familiar sensation. The feeling of being pulled through a straw. Suddenly they hit the floor.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Viktor had been sitting at the table looking through his kids report cards when another portal opened. Five had been home for awhile now and Kieren was still in the office tracking abnormal weather anomalies so it wasn't either of them. Viktor's head hit the table after he seen the mess of kids on his floor. His house was already filled to the brim with kids...
"Ow Fionn get your foot out of my face!" A voice shouted out. It sounded so much like his Reyne that he had to double check it wasn't.
"10/10 portal making 1/10 for the landing. We could have done better," a voice chuckled as he got out of the pile. Soon they were all detangled from each other and standing up right in his kitchen. Five had jumped in due to the noise and their children had followed quickly after him.
"Um hello?" Viktor spoke cautiously as he stood up slowly. All of the kids looked over at him. There were varied degrees of emotions on their faces.
"I did it again," Psi muttered under his breath sitting down at the table. He felt was defeated. How could he have done it again? He got his family stuck somewhere else.
Suddenly someone hit the table infront of him and he flinched back. He looked up at this version of his papa in shock. Was he going to hit him?
"Are you okay?" He asked. He was signing along with his words. Psi blinked away the tears that were rapidly approaching. He looked over to the mass that is his family for help. Fionn walked over to them and wrapped his arms around his twin.
"Why did you hit the table infront for him? He's upset and you scared him!" Fionn said sending the man a soft glare.
"My son and I have hearing lose and he's us so I thought he would too," Five spoke with slight regret in his voice. He hadn't ment to upset the boy. He had just wanted to get his attention.
"He just startled me Fionn I'm not scared. I'm sorry I'm miscalculated again and got everyone stuck again," Psi muttered as some tears finally escaped him. Five bent down infront of him a placed a comforting hand on his knee.
"If I was your dad I'd travel to the end of every realm to get to you. I'm sure you'll be home in no time," Five spoke softly to the kid. Five honestly had no idea where the kids came from but judging on how well put together they were it was definitely not Reginald.
"Yeah Uncle Quentin would do anything to get you, Indie, and Hiroshi back. We don't blame you and we aren't upset with you. If anything I bumped into you so it's my fault," Fionn rubbed his twins back. Psi shook his head and fixed a look on Fionn.
"No I was practicing outside these training room I know better," Psi grimaced slightly. It was a well known rule in the house that powers were to be practiced in the training room. The only time its acceptable to use your powers outside the room and in the house are if it's an accident or the house is getting attacked.
"Well what happened happened and now you won't make that mistake again," Five smiled at the boy. Psi nodded and dried his tears with the back of his hand. He stood and Fionn glided him back to his family. Psi had been one to grow up fast and then stall when he hit about 13. He and his therapist are working on it but it tends to make him more emotional then his family. Not that they minded, they are just happy that Psi is with them.

This universe's set of Hargreeves child sat in the basement with their unexpected visitors. Their fathers thought it would be a good idea for a sleep over type thing. As the adults were upstairs discussing what to do the teens were left to their own devices. They had split off into groups to see what else is different between the two worlds.
"So you were the first kid but you're the youngest?" Indie asked leaning against the couch. They were having an interesting conversation with the littlest Hargreeves this universe had to offer.
'Yeah,' Andrya signed. They was having a bad day with their words so they had been nonverbal all day. It didn't seem to bother Indie much as they nodded.
"Lite so what do you like to do?" Indie asked they signed along with her words. She had learned sign language for a mission years back when their parents still let her go on missions. She kept up and learned more of the language for Valentino. He fell in love with the idea of being able to communicate with out getting tongue tied and stuttering.
'I play the violin,' they signed with a smile. Andrya was enjoying Indie's company and the fact that she knew sign language was an added bonus.
"Oh cool! My nibbie and brother plays the violin," Indie said. "I play guitar." They looked over to their Mellowfriend who was signing rather excitedly to Mateo. She smiled at him before taking in that his chest wasn't moving like it should when someone was breathing. They sighed softly. It had been an on going battle to get him to remember to breath on his own. A battle she didn't mind fighting.
"Love of mine oxygen to the brain," Indie shouted over to Valentino. Valentino took a deep breath and smiled at them. He gave them a thumbs up.
"Thank you hon," he said before turning back to Mateo.
'Are you two a couple?' Mateo signed. His brow was scrunched up as he looked between the two. He couldn't imagine a world where him and Andrya were even remotely like that. Yuck.
'We're queer platonic. We do like to keep our family guessing however. It's really amusing to watch,' Valentino chuckled softly as he explained to his other self. Mateo nodded. He had heard about QPR before. A friend of his at school was in a queer platonic relationship. Will always gushed about his mellowfriend.
"Hey eyes on Navya?" Valentino asked suddenly. Panick had shot through him like he was being electrocuted. He couldn't see his little sister and that usually never ment anything good.
"Stan took her upstairs for a snack," Claire said from where she was laying down. She had been listening to her sister's conversation about makeup half heartedly. Honestly she was slightly annoyed at the situation they had found themselves in. She was supposed to meet her girlfriend for boba tea but instead she was here.
"Thank you," Valentino said relaxing. The knowledge that their brother was with her soothed his worrying. He turned back to the boy infront of him and smiled.
'Who's Navya?' Mateo asked.
'Oh she's my little sister,' Valentino said with a shrug. 'Mom had her a few months after we got adopted.'
'Who is your mom?' Mateo asked him. They have talked about Valentino's parents but he never said who they were. Metao was beyond curious at this point. When they had first landed he thought they were like his siblings and him but he was wrong.
'My mom's name is Lila and my dad is Diego. They've taught me all I know about being punk!' Valentino smiled brightly at the thought of his parents. They were some of the most important people in his life.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
"What's going on? Are you guys alright?" Viktor asked the two kids in his kitchen. Five wrapped his arms around him as they watched the older teen give the eight year old food. It was bizarre to see his nephew at 17. He almost wanted to call Lila over so she could see what her son would be.
"Huh? Oh yeah we're fine. Navya was just hungry," Stan said. He looked over at his two uncles from a different timeline. "She has dad's appetite. At least that's what mom says."
"Who is everyone's parents?" Viktor said sitting down at the table with Five. Stan sat too and looked at them. It had been on everyone's mind he was sure of it.
"Well mine, Valentino, and Navya's parents are Diego and Lila. I was adopted first then Valentino and then they had Navya," Stan said and he watched Five's face take a murderous smile. Stan chuckled softly. It wasn't a face uncle Quentin made often but it was so worth it when he did.
"Of course he did," he chuckled darkly to himself. Viktor lightly flicked his temple. He could practically hear the thoughts of torture running through his husband's head.
"You can't kill our brother because he's with your sister in a different timeline," Viktor said with a sigh. Five grumbled but settled down slightly.
"Anyways moving on. Claire and Kai are Allison and Raymond's daughters. Emerys is Klaus and Dave's daughter. Fionn is Luther and Sloane's son and aunt Sloane is pregnant so another baby to be added I guess. They also took Jayme in after she was kicked out. Jayme is Fionn's girlfriend. Then Hiroshi, Indie, and Psi are Ben, Viktor, and Quentin's kids. The three of them have been together since they were like 16," Stan finished his explanation. He took over how still the two got and started to get worried. He sent Navya back downstairs and sat with the adults. Claire had appeared in the doorway and sat next to him.
"Are you two okay?" She asked softly. She reached out and placed her hand on top of Viktor's. She didn't know or care about the context of what happened but she felt the need to help them. They were her uncles from a different universe after all.
"Our Ben died when he was 16 and Five had already time traveled and was working for the commission at that point," Viktor explained softly to the kids. It was alot to take in with all that Stan told them.
"What's the commission?" Stan asked at the same time as Claire asked, "uncle Quentin can time travel?"
"The commission is an organization that takes out any anomalies in a timeline. They are every officent and keep things going the way they should and have always ment to be. I jumped too far forward in time and got stuck in the apocalypse. A woman called the Handler pulled me out of the waste land and raised me with Lila," Five explained to the children. His eyes had a distant far off look in them like he was stuck in a memory. Stan hit the table infront of him like Five had done to Psi hours ago.
"Come back to Earth there big guy we miss you down here," he repeated a fraze his mother said alot to his father after he returned from a mission involving him being submerged underwater for long periods of time.
That seemed to snap Five back to the present. He gave Stan a look that he couldn't quite read before giving him a grateful half smile. Stan nodded at him before turning to Claire.
"We should probably get downstairs before Emerys tries to hightail it to the nearest cemetery for the night," He stood and stretched before heading downstairs. Claire bid the adults good night on the behalf of both of them before rushing after him.
"That was rude. We were having a conversation," Claire chided him softly. Ever since she met Stan he's been a mystery of why he does things and rarely does he explain. This time it seemed she was lucky enough to get an explanation.
"They needed time to process Claire and quite frankly so do I. This is a lot for all of us to take in and I'm not going to sit making small talk when we have to look out for our family," he spoke in a low harsh whisper. Claire could place that tone anywhere. It was the tone he used when he talked about life with his birth mother. He didn't feel safe here.
What Claire couldn't understand was why? They had been genuinely nice people. They had given information without being pushed for it and they were nice enough to let them stay but this wasn't their home or their uncles. One of the basically admitted to being an assassin but still.
They hit the bottom step and Stan began to walk around the room. He was doing a head count and ease dropping Claire was sure of it. She dropped back down on the couch and watched her family too.
Rayne, Kai, Emerys, and Imani had all gathered in a little group talking to each other wildly. Claire giggled softly as she heard Emerys ask about cemeteries and got shot down.
"Why would you want to go to a cemetery when the ghost in the local theater are so much cooler?!" Rayne asked. It seemed absolutely appalled by the idea. When it was building sets for the plays that it so loves, it always love speaking to the ghost there. The ghost at the cemetery were just mean and scary. It had yet to meet a nice one from there.
"Oh can we go there! I want to meet thespian ghosts!" Emerys jumped up the her feet with a big smile.
"Maybe in the morning its past curfew but I have a key so after we get permission we can," Rayne said smiling at it's new friend's enthusiasm. Emerys nodded. She could live with that deal. She made her way upstairs to get something to drink after they had finish talking about theater ghosts.
Rayne turned to Kai and picked back up their conversation on make up brands. It was nice to have someone to talk to about make up. It's twin was not intrested at all. Before it could open it's mouth a startled yell rang down the stairs. All the kids were up the stairs in a matter of moments.
They found Viktor with a hand over his heart looking at Emerys who was floating next to the cabinet with a wine glass in hand. She looked like she couldn't get her words out with the way she kept opening and closing her mouth.
"How are you in the air?" Viktor managed to squeak out. He was eyeing the kid warily. Five placed his hand on his husband's shoulder to try and calm the man slightly.
"It's one of my powers," Emerys said as she set the glass on the counter and poured some Mt Dew into it. She took a sip of it before turning to face Viktor and Five. "Do Klaus and Rayne not float?"
"No we don't! That's so cool!" Rayne exclaimed. Emerys smiled at the two adults. She was worried that she had freaked their uncles out to much. Which was weird seeings as Indie was using their powers to levitate them and their wheelchair up and down the stairs.
"Sorry to startle everyone," Viktor said rubbing the back of his neck. "I didn't know that was apart of their powers so I was thrown way off by it."
"Its okay dad. We're going to go back downstairs though. Fionn and I were discussing the weather and seismic anomalies throughout history. We were in a rather lively debate on how Pompeii became such a big disaster even though there was clear warning signs that an eruption was going to happen from Mountain Vesuvius," Kieren said.
"To the town's people it wasn't clear until the eruption had already begun making the seas unmanageable," Fionn argued as the two disappeared down stairs.
"Papa may I show Hiroshi my cello?" Harun asked. Cello was on Hiroshi's list of instruments to learn. He was very interested in his counterpart's cello. Five gave them the go ahead and the two bolted up the stairs.
"Oh! Can I show Kai and Psi Smoothie?" Rayne asked bouncing on it's feet. They were very proud of their pet and wanted to show the lizard to anyone. The three of them bounded up the stairs after Harun and Hiroshi. All the other kids went back down the stairs to settle back into their conversations.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
It was around 8 in the morning the next day and all of the children were eating breakfast and watching tv when another portal opened in Viktor's kitchen. Viktor poured a cup of coffee as a very frazzled Quentin came running out. Viktor handed him the mug and Five who had been sitting at the table raised his in a tired greeting.
"Their eating breakfast and watching some cartoons. If you want some cereal go for it," Viktor said sitting next to his husband. Quentin let the portal close knowing he could make one back home and sat with the two men.
"Thank you so much for looking after them," he said. "I was honestly prepared for the worst when we got the alert that the dimension hopped."
"You'd do the same for us. Thankful our son is into weather and not portals," Viktor joked softly. "Though I think Klaus and Dave? Was it Dave? Anyway I think they might be getting an pet bearded dragon soon."
"If Emerys wanted an Elephant they'd get her it. Honestly she has them wrapped around her finger," Quentin chuckled. "But why a bearded dragon specifically?
"Our child had one and after they all had seen Smoothie Emerys decided she needed one too," Five gave a half smile to the man. "Next time let's schedule the sleep over."
"Absolutely. Next time your lot can come to ours and give you two a break but for now I have to get them home. Their parents are worried sick," Quentin laughed softly as the kids came spilling into the room.
"Papa!"
"Uncle Quentin!"
Quentin was soon dog piled under a heep of kids. He chuckled and hugged all the kids giving them a once over. He had the kids say goodbye to their new friends before opening the portal. He watched and counted as everyone of his kids went through.
"Here's the equation to get to ours from yours," he said as he handed Five a piece of paper. "Let us know when you want them to have another sleep over." He then stepped through the portal and was gone.
