Chapter 2
“It’s so good to see you again Cinderheart, I thought I would never be able to-” Hollyleaf began.
”No! however much I want to believe you are alive I saw you die. There is no way you are truly here!” Cinderheart interrupted with a hint of sadness in her voice, “I’m just dreaming again, you are nothing more than my imagination!”
“But I am real!” Hollyleaf raised her voice slightly, “But I understand that you do not believe me.” Her voice lowered. “I was dumbfounded when I woke up lying in the grass memories of my own death still clouding my thoughts.”
Cinderheart took a step back still utterly confused at the situation at hand. Is she really here? She thought to herself. No! But something in Cinderheart made her long for this to be reality and not just another dream.
Cinderheart felt a tingling in her belly, it felt almost like a bug, no not that, butterflies! Cinderheart tried to figure out what this meant, it was the same feeling she used to get around Lionblaze. "Oh no!" she thought to herself, "Am I in love with Hollyleaf?!"
Cinderheart must have been obvious with the fact that she had figured something out as Hollyleaf was quick to ask her. "Are you alright?" Hollyleaf asked. "Yes" Cinderheart mewed, "Just lost in thought, it's about- actually it would be better if I didn't include you in my problem." "Are you sure?" "Yeah"
"What should I do now?" Hollyleaf asked.
"Come back to thunderclan mousebrain!" Cinder meowed in disbelief that Hollyleaf would ask that question.
Yes, come back to thunderclan so I can be with you!
Cinderheart shivered, where had that thought come from!
"Are you sure they will let me? This is my second time coming back." Hollyleaf mewed anxiously.
"Why wouldn't they! You're a loyal thunderclan cat!" retorted ending the conversation
Cinderheart pressed her muzzle to the cold pelt of Hollyleaf, "follow me." she murmured, "If you can?"
"You're on!" Hollyleaf replied
Cinderheart bounded off back to camp Hollyleaf close behind. Suddenly Cinderheart hit something, looking up she saw the powerful body of Lionblaze. "Cinderheart! you're exactly who I was looking for I need to talk about last ni-" Hollyleaf exploded from the bushes skidding to a stop in front of Lionblaze. "Who is this, Cinderheart?" Lionblaze inquired, "She reminds me of my sister although they are obviously not my sister."
"But thats where you're wrong," Hollyleaf cut in, " I am your sister."
Lionblaze was taken aback "But…" he began "But I saw you die!"
"Are you not happy to see me?" Hollyleaf questioned hurt in her eyes.
"Of course I am!" he replied.
"Then act like it!" Hollyleaf retaliated.
"Ok! I will but just let me have a chat with Cinderheart first."
Hollyleaf grunted and slunk of into the undergrowth.
She's beautiful!
Cinderheart's fur bristled, what were these thought doing in her head?
"Cinderheart I am truly sorry for trying to force the idea of kits on you, I just thought…" Lionblaze mewed.
"What! What did you think! That I would laze around in the nursery for moons while you were out enjoying the life of a warrior!" Cinderheart retaliated her voice raised quite significantly.
"No! I'm not that cat! Maybe we shouldn't be mates anymore?
