Margie woke up in a daze, quickly sitting up to go and see if it's daytime or not. It was infact, not. She had spent the whole day sleeping, matches really wore her out huh..
She got up, and went to go change. It was so hard to sleep in and even move in the vile blossom outfit she wore.. Besides, it didn't smell that good from all the running she did after William not too long ago. She changed into a much more, 'simple'
outfit.
Aromatherapy.
She named it after her favorite coping mechanism. It was hard keeping yourself sane in the manor at first. Knowing you're trapped here forever while also having to work with complete strangers for the rest of your life, while weird humanoid or even animal-like creatures chase you around areas of the manor that seem to have appeared out of nowhere, simply by magic. For example, Golden cave.
How did they manage to create an exact replica of the damn mineshaft of which Norton Campbell, the Prospector, almost died at? Did they make the copy to taunt the Miner? They had to get rid of the damn map from any real scheduled matches to not give the Prospector PTSD and or flashbacks.
It did get better after a while though. These so called strangers weren't really strangers anymore. Everyone got to know each other, and Margie also got to know a few of the hunters. It was all relaxed and a bit of fun in every match, knowing that this was her life, wasn't so bad. Yet out of all the survivors she's met, she's never met a soul as kind as the Priestess'.
Fiona Gilman. Oh what a beautiful woman she was, her big dark eyes, enchanting Margie with her aura. It felt like she'd casted a spell upon her.
The Dancer wasn't going to lie. She had a massive crush on Gilman. She was in denial of her own feelings for a long time, but after what Fiona did in the duos match to comfort the Dancer. That confirmed Margie's feelings.
She was head over heels over this not-so-normal woman.
Margie finally snapped out of her own thoughts, strolling over to step out of her room, she felt really hungry. Not eating much at the dinner table when food was served, so now she had to sneak down and grab some food. It seemed like William and Kevin were awake.. They probably were knocked out cold from the duos match aswell.
Passing by everyone else's rooms, Margie soon realized that everyone who was in that match was awake. Maybe she hadn't overslept? Just the match took this long that everyone would come back in the middle of the night. That probably was it..
She bumped into a slim figure in the hallway, she didn't see where she was going and apologized immediately, her voice coming out like a hushed whisper to not disturb anyone.
The person who was standing, almost frozen because they had not expected to see another face here, gave Margie a warm smile.
It was Fiona.
"I'm so sorr-"
"No no. It's alright Dear!.. I apologize, I spaced out for longer than I should have and stood still there."
God, how Gilman's voice made her swoon.
Fiona stood on her toes to try and get a jar of pickles, to put on her sandwich. She had some weird taste when it came to sandwich toppings. She took some cream cheese and made her snack.
Margie was next to her focusing on her own meal. She made cucumber tuna rolls for herself, she always had liked seafood, aswell as the crunch of the cucumber when you dig in.
"Oo! Mind if I try one of your snacks?"
Fiona beamed with excitement as she waited for an answer.
"Of course!-.. I made way more than intended so take as many as you like!"
Fiona nodded as she brought her plate over and took two of the delicious rolls.
"Would you like one of my, pickle sandwiches? I promise they're good!"
"Wahh. I'll try some then!"
Those were Margie's last words before taking one of Fiona's sandwiches. Put them on her plate and slightly smiled.
Fiona's face lit up at this, she put her hands together up to her face, as she bowed lightly, closing her eyes.
"Thank you so much, my favorite dancer!"
Margie's cheeks grew red, a deep dark red as blood rushed to her face. She smiled even more, just like a dork, letting out the cutest giggle for Fiona to hear.
They said their goodbyes and returned to their own rooms. Margie couldn't stop thinking about their friendly encounter. Maybe there was something more to her feelings? Maybe Fiona liked her back?
She was almost dozing off as she took a bite out of Fiona's sandwich, she let out an unpleasant squeal.
"BLEUGH!!"
