Enid lay on her bed groaning, she had tried so hard to get Wednesday to understand that she likes her, giving her homework answers: which she was scolded for since Wednesday wanted to do it on her own, she had given her flowers: although they were "too bright" for Wednesday so she threw them out, and a lot more attempts at telling her, but none of them worked.
Finally, Enid swallowed her pride and went to Yoko, when the wolf arrived at the vampire's dorm she knocked roughly, a bit too roughly. Yoko on the inside jumped and rushed to her door, hoping to teach whoever this jerk was who scared her a lesson. As Yoko arrived at the door she glared at the wolf who pounded on her door "Really Enid? You nearly gave me a heart attack" Enid rolled her eyes at the vamp ''really Yoko? You are a vampire for goodness sake" Yoko rolled her eyes right back at the bright girl "what do you want Enid" she said while examining the girl who she could tell was distressed "Valentine's day is a few days from now, and Wednesday still has not understood the fact that I like her" Yoko scoffed "like her? You're practically obsessed with the girl, Wednesday this, Wednesday that, maybe there is something wrong with her if she hasn't figured it out yet" Enid glared at Yoko "don't talk about Wednesday like that" Yoko backed up and threw her hands in the air, secretly scared of the wolf in front of her "sorry I was only joking" Enid relaxed a bit and nodded. Yoko moved to the side and motioned for Enid to come in.
After Hours, of brainstorming Enid and Yoko had the bright idea for Enid to try and ambush Wednesday. "are you sure this will work, Yoko?" Enid looked at her wearily "of course it will, she's Wednesday Addams, she loves it when people try to murder her!" Enid looked at her nervously but nodded, "alright I suppose that's true, I'll go try it now then?" Yoko nodded and pushed her to the door "yes go now and let me know how it goes, even though I know that this plan is foolproof" Enid hugged Yoko quickly and rushed out of the door, pulling her phone out in the process

Enid: Hey Wednesday?
Wednesday: Yes Enid?
Enid: Will you please meet me by the library? I need to show you something.
Wednesday: Alright, sure, I'll be there in 5 minutes.
Enid sat hidden behind a statue near the library when she saw Wednesday and Thing approaching, she quietly snuck out of her spot, while Wednesday looked around for her, and snuck up behind Wednesday with a very sharp knife in hand. Wednesday felt the presence behind her and before Enid could attack Wednesday dodged her and started fighting to pull the knife away from Enid. "Enid what the hell are you doing!?" Enid continued fighting with the shockingly strong smaller girl until Thing whacked Enid with a large book, causing her to drop the knife and wince in pain. Wednesday stood up and grabbed the knife while cautiously eyeing the girl, upon realizing the taller girl had given up, Wednesday lost it "what the hell is the matter with you!?" Enid stood up and looked at the small girl confused "you didn't like that?" Wednesday looked at the girl as if she was stupid, "why the hell would I like you attacking me??" Enid was stunned as she tried to figure out where she went wrong. Wednesday scoffed and glared at her even more "I cannot believe I considered you a friend" Wednesday walked away, holding in tears, unbeknownst to the taller girl behind her. "Wait Wednesday, I wasn't trying to hurt you" but before she could even explain the goth was gone.
Enid walked back to Yoko's dorm, with her head down in shame, she didn't want to hurt Wednesday she just wanted to show her how much interest she takes in her interests, no matter what they are, but all she ended up doing was push Wednesday further away, probably right into Tyler's arms, hell she'd prefer Xavier to be with the goth if she had a choice in the matter. Enid walked a bit more still scowling at the thought of Tyler and Wednesday before she'd realize something. "XAVIER. I am so stupid, they hang out, I can ask for his help!" The wolf let out a few squeals before turning around and running to Xavier's dorm with pure joy in her heart and mind.
As Enid arrived at Xavier's dorm she stopped for a moment to catch her breath when she heard a familiar voice call her name, Enid spun around and smiled at the boy, Ajax, yes she and he had broken up but they were still great friends. "Ajax! Hi, what are you doing here?" Ajax had a small blush on his face, before pointing to Xavier's dorm "well this is my boyfriend's dorm" Enid gasped and pulled the boy into a hug "wow you finally got the courage to let him know huh" Ajax sent her an embarrassed smile as he nodded at her "what are you doing here, don't tell me he's your boyfriend too?" The boy asked playfully and Enid rolled at him "he and Wednesday hang out a lot, I'm kinda having trouble with her so I came to ask for his help with her" Ajax sent her a knowing smirk "oh wow you tease me for not telling Xavier yet you can't even tell Wednesday how in love with her you are?" Enid blushed and smacked his shoulder "I can tell her, I've been trying to but she just hasn't been understanding what I mean" Ajax nodded in understanding "yeah kinda figured, she isn't that great with social cues" Enid's eyes turned yellow and her sharp teeth, fuzzy ears, and puffy tail popped out, Ajax backed up terrified "it's not a bad thing! I swear! I just mean it would be difficult for her to understand you and difficult for you to make her understand" Enid Relaxed a bit and nodded "sorry that happens sometimes" Ajax knocked on Xavier's door "well then, let's see if Xavier can help." As Xavier opened the door he smiled brightly at Ajax, but then looked at Enid with great confusion. Ajax sent him a sweet smile "I can explain" he said while motioning to Enid, Xavier flashed his eyes between the two of them and then scooted aside as he motioned for them to enter
After Enid explained the whole Wednesday thing both of the boys looked at her with shocked eyes, Xavier then stood up "Enid I think that was the right thing to do, but not the right way to do it" Enid nodded "trust me the aching headache I have right now proves that entire point." The boys laughed at her but gave her sympathetic looks. The next few hours the 3 of them spent even more time brainstorming on what Enid could and should do about her Wednesday problem. Finally, the 3 came up with a new plan, Enid would learn to play Wednesday's favorite song, Paint it Black (just guessing) on the cello as Wednesday does.
After deciding on playing Wednesday's favorite song, Enid walked to the music room (pretend they have one if they don't lol) and grabbed one of the old, unused cellos. After getting the cello set up, watching a few videos on how to use it, and playing a few basic notes, Enid declared herself ready to surprise Wednesday. (I'm lazy don't judge me plus girl only has a few days so she's gotta get it done quickly (at least that's my excuse ;) )
After setting up the cello on their balcony, Enid sat patiently waiting for Wednesday to arrive. After a few hours of waiting, Wednesday finally showed up at the girls' dorm, upon hearing the small girl enter Enid ran to her excitedly "Wednesday! Wednesday! Come to the balcony I have a surprise for you!" Wednesday sent her a glare "absolutely not, your last 'surprise' was trying to kill me!" Enid sent her a soft look but then straightened herself up as she cleared her throat "I know, that was wrong and if you come out to the balcony with me I'll be able to explain everything!' Enid sent her a pleading look and the smaller girl couldn't help but sigh and relent "fine. Do not make me regret this Sinclair. You go out first just in case."
Once the two girls got outside and Enid had gotten herself set up at the cello, which confused Wednesday because she's never once seen the girl play an instrument let alone a cello, Enid had begun playing Wednesday's favorite song hoping to sound as good as she did. After she finished the song, Enid looked at Wednesday with a smile on her face waiting to hear what the girl had to say, Wednesday scoffed at the girl "screw you, Enid, I cannot believe I let myself get fooled by you yet again!" Enid looked as if she was taken aback "wait what? Wednesday what did I do?" Wednesday glared at the girl and scoffed yet again "what did you do? Enid, what did you do? If you don't like me then say that! Making fun of me is stupid, I can handle it, so spit it out!" Enid shook her head at the girl "no Wednesday that's not what I mea-" the girl was cut off by the goth grabbing her backpack and storming out the door. Enid sat in silence for a while, she was heartbroken at the thought of Wednesday thinking she didn't like her, Enid had liked Wednesday so much, so much that she came up with these stupid plans and ideas, she tried so hard to get the Addams girl to reciprocate her feelings going to others for help, listening to their ideas, and then playing out those stupid ideas, where did it get her? Alone, Enid was alone, sat on the floor of their shared dorm tears rolling out of her previously bright, beautiful, blue eyes now red, darkened, and filled with sadness. A few hours passed and as Enid finally forced herself to stand up and lay in bed she had finally fallen asleep the goth girl occupying her mind and dreams.
Wednesday was sat in Tyler's bedroom, she didn't have many friends at Nevermore so she went to the one person she knew wouldn't turn her down, Tyler. "So Enid tried to kill you and then she mocked you is what you're saying to me?" Wednesday left her trance and looked over to the boy, "yes, and I'm not sure why." Tyler looked the girl over, confusion taking over, he then stopped and started laughing. Wednesday sat up and watched the boy as he laughed "what about my situation is funny Tyler?" Tyler looked over to Wednesday and stopped laughing, a bright smile on his face, a smile that was too bright. "If you wanted to hang out you could've just said that Wednesday, no need to make up stories" Tyler walked towards Wednesday and sat down in front of her "so, what are we now? Boyfriend and girlfriend? I know it's quite soon but I love you Wednesday, no matter how long I've known you." Tyler grasped Wednesday's hands with his and stared into her eyes lovingly. Wednesday sat there for a few moments, taking in everything that was going on before she stood up and slapped Tyler across his face. "Tyler I do not like you and I am not making the story about Enid up!" Tyler started laughing yet again "come on Wednesday, you do not have to lie, I won't tell anyone if that's what you want, also nice slap!" Wednesday sent Tyler her famous glare before standing up and leaving.
The next morning when Enid awoke she saw Wednesday's bed empty "not surprised she never came back" Enid slipped out of bed and made her way to the bathroom to get ready for the day. As Enid walked into the quad for breakfast she saw Wednesday eating breakfast with Xavier and Ajax, Wednesday had her head buried into a book while the two boys chatted. Enid decided to give the girl some space, so she sat with Yoko, Divina, and Bianca. "Hey girl, how did it go with Wednesday?" Yoko looked at Enid excitedly as she questioned her "horrible, she hated it." "What! How? I thought she'd love to have someone attempt to murder her" Bianca spit out her juice and looked at the two in shock "you tried to kill Wednesday! Why in the world would you do that?" After explaining the attempted murder thing to Bianca and then explaining the cello thing to the three girls Enid sat at the table with all of her hopes lost. After breakfast and classes, Enid made her way back to her dorm, hoping to have a much-needed nap, but as Enid made it into her dorm she saw Wednesday sitting at her desk typing away. "Hello, Enid." Wednesday said coldly "hey Wednesday! I didn't know you'd be here" Wednesday turned around to face the werewolf, an obvious frown on her face, but this one was different. Wednesday's normal frown had always been so blank like it could mean anything, but the frown the girl had on now was pure sadness, Enid had no idea how she could tell, but she could. "Enid, may I ask you a question?" Enid left her trance and nodded at the girl "of course Wednesday." Wednesday looked nervous, but as soon as she let out a soft sigh, all forms of emotion left her face. "What have I done so wrong that you wish to torture me?" Enid was stunned, and for a split second she saw it again, the sadness on her face was enough to cause Enid to break, her thoughts consuming her, all of them insulting her for hurting the girl so badly.
A few moments passed, though to Enid it felt like hours, she was still being berated by her mind when a pair of hands grabbed her shoulders and gave her a small shake "Enid are you alright?" Enid finally silenced her thoughts and looked down at the raven-haired girl, Enid knew she had hurt her but she also knew that she could and would do her best to fix the girl no matter what, and with that final thought Enid lifted her hands to Wednesday's cheeks and placed her lips against hers. (little pause I cannot write kisses I'm so sorry) It took Wednesday a moment to understand what was going on, but when she did, she placed her hands on Enid's and leaned in to further the kiss. After pulling away Enid let out a soft sigh and took Wednesday's hands into her own "Wednesday you didn't do anything wrong, and I wasn't trying to hurt you or make you think otherwise!" Enid took in a deep breath "the truth is I like you and I was going to ask you out for Valentine's day, but I couldn't and so I asked Yoko for help and together we came up with the idea of me attacking you, since you like murder and all, but that obviously didn't work. So after trying to figure out what to do I went to Xavier and Ajax and together we came up with the idea of me playing the cello for you, and obviously, that didn't work, but yeah I was just trying to ask you out, and I'm sorry I couldn't do that in a way that was special to you." Enid looked down to the floor awaiting Wednesday's lecture or heck even a slap or something, she knew she deserved it, but before any of that could come Wednesday had begun kissing her again.
After the two finished kissing again, Wednesday sent Enid a smile "as much as I hated everything you did for me, I appreciate the thought, and if you're still interested I'd love to be your Valentine." Enid smiled at the girl and nodded "I would love for you to be my Valentine, but just to be formal, Wednesday Addams will you be my Valentine?" Wednesday sent her another smile as she nodded "I would love to be your valentine Enid Sinclair" and with that Wednesday pulled her into another kiss.
Two days later and it was now Valentine's day, Enid and Wednesday had woken up that morning in a very loving mood, stealing kisses and even hugs from each other any chance they got. Just about everyone in Nevermore was feeling the Valentines mood, even the school itself, being decorated from head to toe in Valentine's decor, 'great job to whoever did this' Enid thought as she made her way to Wednesday's last class of the day, which happens to be the only one they don't share. After the two had made their way to Jericho, they had plans to visit the weathervane for coffee and hot chocolate, then a local bakery for fresh pastries, and then they'd finish the day off at Eugene's bee shack, which he had offered the two to hang out in.
After exploring and hanging out the two finally made their way to Eugene's shack to exchange gifts and hang out. As they slipped inside Enid was stunned to see the usually dirty and dull shack cleaned and decorated in bright Valentine's day decor, even a banner saying 'Happy Valentine's Day Enid' sprawled across the first seen wall. Wednesday had a grin on her face, admiring her work and applauding herself, when a strong and warm body collapsed into hers "thank you, thank you, thank you!" Enid had scattered kisses across Wednesday's face, while Wednesday had taken her hands into her own. "Of course Enid, you had (attempted) to do something nice for me so I thought I'd return the favor." Enid smiled at her then pulled her to a blanket spread out on the floor so they could chat and hopefully cuddle. Which they did, the rest of their Valentine's night was filled with kisses, hugs and of course, the exchange of gifts, and Enid was pretty sure this was just about the best Valentine's day she's ever had.
