There will be no shredding of souls
“Here. I need you to see this.” Willow shoved a paper into Tara’s hands the second the latter walked into the room.
“Umm, what is is?” she asked looking down at it
“I started looking into a spell to bind my powers, then I realized that doing magic to bind my magic would actually count as doing magic. But you could do it if it would make you feel better.” Willow was kind of pacing around the room so she didn’t see the distressed expression on Tara’s face as she read the page.
“I’m not going to cast this on you Willow. In fact we need to destroy this spell.”
“Fine, fine, I guess I get it. Not being able to use magic isn’t the same as choosing not to use it. But there’s no reason to just trash it.”
“I think if you put a little to much power into this spell could shred someone’s soul. I suppose that would guarantee no more magic but it would be pretty permanent.”
“Oh. Well.... I wasn’t trying to destroy any souls.”
“I believe you but why is your instinct always to use the most powerful magic possible? You overpower everything.”
