"But Scuttle told me--"
"It's called a fork," Thumbelina softly corrected her. "You use it for eating. Brushes like this one are used for hair."
"Oh," Ariel breathed as Thumbelina's gentle hands parted her hair. She relaxed as the soothing brushstrokes tickled her scalp.
Thumbelina smiled at the dreamy expression on the other girl's face. She returned to straightening the red tangles until she felt a pair of mischievous eyes on her.
"Not right now," Thumbelina spoke lightly. "We can test out the human bed again after I finish."
