It's new years eve and the year is nearly over. Some are partying others are dancing and singing, some are alone enjoying the silence, everyone's waiting for the countdown to midnight, all the young adults waiting impatiently for the clock to strike twelve, waiting to know who they'll meet. And alas the ball drops, the cheers start, hugs celebrations, and excitement arises, and then it begins. soulmates are met all the 22-year-olds now in the body of their destined ones. Teens run around some finding each other easier than others. Each couple added another star in the sky shining a little bit brighter under the colorful night sky in the festive town decorated all around. And the all too familiar street many find the ones they spent years awaiting. Thousands and millions of loved ones are getting together. Some leave messages and addresses to come to find them later. Languages and countries add boundaries to some meetings, but they'll all find a way. Amongst everyone watching this eventful chaos, it wasn't the kind you'd hate, you see hopeful eyes everywhere, every corner of the world, and here in this little café two older souls were watching watched all those outside,
Celesten: look at all of them, so many things change today for so many of these kids.
She said, a woman in her late 50s with a comforting and warm smile on her face
Gray: reminds me of when I found out you were my soulmate.
Said a man around the same age, coming out from the back kitchen and standing next to her
Celesten: Oh what a time it was.
Ashton: The most unforgetful thing and the reactions of our friends were hilarious
Celesten: Like when Sol and Erasmine found out they literally just high-fived each other.
She laughed at the memory thinking back to their younger selves, just as the two walked in.
Sol: hey guys, what are you doing didn’t come outside eh?
Erasmine: I love seeing this time of year
Celesten: it is beautiful, and we were just people-watching, I prefer just watching from afar
Gray: hmm, now why don't you two sit down I'll get us all some warm drinks
Gray went to the back making some warm drinks for the group while they talked the rest of the night laughing at how their dumb young decisions turned out to be such fond full memories. The four spent a bit together just taking in everything. Things change in the blink of an eye for some, others leave a message and wait full of hope to be united, even those who had been lost find a way, it takes time you know? Everything has a way, it all works out and if it hasn't it's not the end.
