Darcy smiled up at her father as he twirled her around in a circle.
One hand holding his usual whiskey and tea, cigar in his mouth.
It wasn't always like this tho.

She loved the days when she got to ride his bike with him, or work in his lab with him.
But ever since her mother got pregnant again he seemed more distant than usual.
He took his you daughter down to his lab and slammed the up on the bench, shrugging off his jacket he sighed butting out his cigar.
"Darcy."He snapped. she stood at attention instantly.
He looked to his daughter and sighed.
She stood like a soldier at attention waiting for commands.
He made his little girl a soldier.
He growled turning around and reached into his metal locker pulling out his rifle.
"C'mere."He snapped
She practically ran over to him and stood next to him, staring up at him.
He dropped to his knees and stared hard into her eyes.
She was 10
only a little girl.
"Baby girl.I want you to promise me something."He said softly
She pouted at the look in his eyes.
It didn't seem right.
"Promise you'll always take car of your mother.And watch out for your sister."He said cupping her cheek.
"Daddy?"She whimpered, tears falling from her eyes.
"A-are you going somewhere?"She asked and he shook his head.
"Don't cry sweetie."he sighed before shoving the gun in her hands and raising his head to the sky, tears falling from his own eyes now and down his chin.
"shoot."He commanded and her whimpers turned into load sobs before she was histerile dropping the gun and jumping on him, crying into the crook of his neck.
He hugged her back just as tightly.
'When trouble comes to town, men like me will come around and i want you to shoot."He whispered into her hair, stroking it as he picked her up.
She never could forget that day.
