The Family OT3 - A Rocky Climb

Let me not to the marriage of true minds
Admit impediments. Love is not love
Which alters when it alteration finds,
Or bends with the remover to remove.
O no! it is an ever-fixed mark
That looks on tempests and is never shaken;
It is the star to every wand'ring bark,
Whose worth's unknown, although his height be taken.
Love's not Time's fool, though rosy lips and cheeks
Within his bending sickle's compass come;
Love alters not with his brief hours and weeks,
But bears it out even to the edge of doom.
If this be error and upon me prov'd,
I never writ, nor no man ever lov'd.

~William Shakespeare

Thought process: Given the bingos I decided to use for this one, especially "Undeserved Reputation" - I went back to the beginning of Darcy's real interactions with the family. She'd formed a negative view of Bucky . . . both because of the split from Clint at the time and because of the bad intel she was fed. So this threesome definitely went through a difficult start. The chess pieces and the "Blow a Kiss, Fire a Gun" pictures showed the tension there - between what she thought she knew and what Clint tried to tell her. The heart "I am trying" - expressed to me a little more about the boys. They've got each other and, while Clint knows they'd be even more spectacular with her, like Bucky tells him - he can't push it. The middle line is all about finding truth and balance as three-in-one, a spiral labyrinth where there is no way to separate them. I thought the C.S. Lewis quote summed it all up.
