Chapter 10

[A/N]: the plot progresses, ig? Also, I just picked the most common Japanese name for women in Japan, since I don't wanna use the name “Sakura” that some fanfictions use. I dislike the use of that name a lot. Here is the chap nine, votes, comments and hearts are very much appreciated!

Shuntaro regrets coming to the restaurant with his father. He hates everything about this restaurant, your past working place and this situation he was in. First, the food was terrible and overpriced. Second, you got fired by the management after defending yourself from a customer, which resulted to you visiting him with teary eyes. Third, his father's pretentious friends(?). And last on the list was the woman beside her who was clinging at his arms like some snake in a branch.

He dislike physical touch that he didn't initiate. Not even you, had touched him unless it was him who touched you first, let alone cling at him like this. He removed the woman's arms already twice, but the woman returns it.

“So, Dr. Chishiya, when do you think will the wedding happen?” the same woman beside him said, opening the conversation up.

“Sunshine, let's not talk about too soon.” the woman's father lightly scolded her as she pouted and whined like a toddler.

“I want it to happen soon, Dad.”

Does he not have a say in this? Hello? He's the potential groom here.

“You'll have to wait for a long time, little miss Sato.” Chishiya's father laughed heartily. “My boy Shuntaro is going to follow my footsteps after all.”

“My darling, I'm excited to have you as my daughter.” his mother butted in, which his father didn't like at all.

“What about you, Shun, are you excited to be my husband? We'll have kids and be happy family you know.” Himari said.

What was the woman saying? Shuntaro is just starting his college years, so as her, and he dislike children, and he's planning to not have children, not even one. The nerve to call him by a nickname, while you're literally calling him by his surname.

He just nodded, showing lack of interest to the topic. Himari chatted with his parents, together with his father about him, as if he was never there.

“Pediatric surgeon, huh? You seem to really like children.” his ‘father-in-law’ assumed.

“Pediatric? But children are very loud and annoying, especially younger kids.” for someone who just claimed that they'll have a happy family, with kids, her distaste for children, that isn't hers are very ironic.

He honestly just want this to go over with. To think that he left you just for this. He can't even make an excuse for his classes, since he didn't have one to attend at that time, and his father knows his whole schedule.

“Aren't you going to ask what I'm taking in college?” her voice's pitch just got higher that it previously was.

She didn't wait for him to ask, which he won't be doing, as she rambled how great she was in her course, and one of the best students in the college she was studying in.

Shuntaro blocked them all, not wanting his great memory be of his disadvantage. He didn't want her life details overlap with his memories of you.

Shuntaro's father was very disappointed in his behavior, so as his mother. It was understandable, but he could've at least act to be a little interested.

A stray of his light blonde hair made way to his cheek, and Himari tucked it in his ear, whike she smiled with redness on her cheeks. Himari's father eyed his daughter knowingly.

Mr. Sato was not stupid to think that Shuntaro likes his daughter. He saw Shuntaro's discomfort with his daughter's close contact with the young man, and the two times he removed her arms from his. It wouldn't affect the sponsorship contract that he and Mr. Chishiya is having, but he'll let his daughter with her antics just for today.

Sato talked with Shuntaro, genuine curiosity about his studies, which he boredly answered. He wished he brought his console here, everything is very boring, nothing is interesting.

Everyone in the table except Shuntaro ate the food. Shuntaro didn't even bother to touch it, as he was already full with the cookies he ate with you just some time ago. His parents didn't say anything about it, but the woman in her side started gushing about being healthy and such.

The meal got finished and everyone tidied themselves up. The meal lasted for an hour and a half, and it was the worst one hour and a half he spent in his entire life.

Ten out of ten would not recommend.

“Shuntaro, are you going to your uni? Do you want to get something for your friends, dear?” his mother asked, which he refused.

“Eh? You're going, I wanna come with you.” Shuntaro narrowed his eyes, he definitely doesn't want this woman to stick with her for longer than she already did. “I wanna meet your friends. Do they like designers? What family do they come from? I'm so excited, Shun!”

“I have a class to attend, I can't stay with you when were there.”

“Then I'll be in your class. I mean, what's so bad about one student sitting in in a class, come on!” she pleaded him with puppy eyes as Shuntaro's parents tried to give ‘the look’, which didn't intimidate him a bit.

Shuntaro didn't say anything as he just casually waved bye to his parents as well as to Mr. Sato. He walked out of the establishment and just some steps out of it, Himari halted her movements.

“Where's your car? Don't tell me we'll walk there.” he lightly sighed, lost count of how many times he did during the interaction with the woman.

I am.”

“But it's so hot, and I don't like the feeling of wind here, so yucky.” she babbled her dislike with the outside, earning looks from the passers-by that unfortunately happened to walk near her.

Shuntaro started leaving her and she stopped talking. She stepped a large skip to follow him, and she linked her arms with his, again. He's so close to becoming a devotee of God, just to pray that this woman leaves her alone.

They tread the lovely pavements. Shuntaro quite enjoyed the scent of peaceful late morning breeze, as Himari whined about her feet being in pain. He was unbothered as always, as he subtly removed her arms, which she returns, noticing that he was actually unlinking her arm.

After a dreading ten-minute leisure walk, they reached the gates of the university. Chishiya received wide eye glances, as people looked at him, to Himari, and to the arms that link itself to him.

Everytime he stepped away from her, she'll just step closer to previous. He was getting very annoyed, and that's saying something, since it wasn't anyone. It was the SHUNTARO CHISHIYA, the man who's not easily ticked off.

“Chishiya!” he snapped his head to his left, and saw Kuina, together with Ippei, running towards him. “Where'd you go. Heard you left—”

The they saw the woman together with him, with all smiley face and blushing cheeks.

“Are they your friends, Shun?”

'Shun'?
