Day 17 (Darcy & Tony/Pepper)
It’s quiet in the common room where Darcy has established herself. She is sitting on the lazy couch, legs outstretched, laptop on her knees and food and coffee on the table within easy reach.
“What are you doing?” She startles and looks up to see Tony standing in the door with a frown on his face. “I’m watching a movie so shut up.” The ‘duh’ coming through loud and clear. Tony walks into the room and points at the admittedly gigantic television. “That’s what we have this for. Why are you watching on your laptop?” He asks in disdain. Darcy pouts and crosses her arms. “You know that sometimes it’s just better like this.” Tony shrugs and throws his hands up. “Whatever.” He grouses as he walks away, probably off to do science.
It must be about three hours later when Tony stumbles into the common area again and finds Darcy just as he left her. “Jarvis?” He asks, gaze never leaving the young woman. “How long as she been sitting there like this?” “Darcy has not left the couch for approximately 6 hours sir.” The response makes him frown and he walks over, carefully lifting her feet up so he can sit down and drop them in his lap. “Darce?” Darcy hums in response but her eyes never strain from the small screen. “Darce?” He tries again only to be hushed and kicked in return. “Darcy!” He tries, loud and stern this time only to be surprised and get misty cold water in his face. “What the hell?!” He startles, dumping her feet on the ground and shifting to the far end of the couch. “Shut. Up. Dad.” Darcy exclaims, eyes narrowing as she glares at him for a second before turning back to the screen.
Three days later the avengers are all gathered in one of the meeting rooms to go over tactics and new developments and as always Steve and Tony get into an argument. Before the argument can get heated Pepper sets something down on the table, loudly. Tony looks up to see the same water sprayer as Darcy had and raises his eyebrows at Pepper. “Behave. Both of you.” Is all she says before turning back to director Fury.
