Day eleven (Darcy/Johnny Storm)
Darcy hears the door of her apartment open. She is sitting on the couch, catching up on her Netflix queue. “Hi hot shot.” She looks around and smiles as her boyfriend walks up to her and kisses her before settling on the couch. “Hi honey.” Johnny smirks and puts his arm around her shoulder to pull her into his side. “Susan now thinks that I’m dating a stripper or something.” He plays with a strand of her hair as Darcy turns her head. She frowns. “Why would you be dating a stripper?” “Because I’m clearly going out to see someone during the day and I never used too.” He pulls her close, mouth next to her ear. “I never used to spend more then one night with a woman until I met you.” Darcy elbows him in his stomach for that and laughs as he yelps.
The doorbell rings and Darcy quickly gets up, grabbing her wallet before she goes and disappears into the hall. Two minutes later she comes back with two pizza boxes and settles back on the couch. “You know me so well.” Johnny exclaims proudly as he opens his box to discover a meat lovers pizza inside. Darcy grins conspiratorially. “I should seeing as we’ve been together for a month today.” Johnny groans and buries his head in his hands. “Please don’t tell me I forgot or first anniversary. I suck at this.” Darcy pets his head without any actual sympathy. “I figured you’d forget but I’m making it memorable so you can do plan something for next month.” “Memorable?” Johnny perks up at that. “You planned something? What did you plan?” Darcy just laughs and begins to eat her pizza. When he realizes he’s not getting an answer he starts his own pizza and enjoys the episode of myth busters that Darcy had been watching.
When the episode ends Darcy gets up and goes and tidies up before disappearing in the bathroom. She had planned this night for a while and nervous anticipation had settled in her stomach. When she’d met Johnny she’d never figured he would become her boyfriend. He was such a player but after she turned him down he had kept showing up and showed her that the player was just his public persona. When she realized that she had given him a chance. She had forced him to take it slow and now she had to admit that it had all paid off. She was very close to falling in love with him and tonight will probably seal the deal between them.
Darcy quickly undress, retouches her make up and checks her outfit. She takes a deep breath and then steps outside and into the living room. Johnny turns around at the sound of her bare feet and his mouth drops. “Babe.” He whistles long and low as his eyes rake over her body. She smiles at the sight of him, nerves falling away and being replaced with a feeling of confidence. “Come here loverboy.” She turns around and sways into the bedroom. She hears the hurried footsteps of Johnny as he follows her and she doesn’t turn around. Instead she leans against the wall inside the bedroom and waits for him. When he rushes inside he stops, confused to not find her on the bed. Darcy uses the moment to forcibly turn him around and push him on the bed. Her smile is feral as she begins to climb on top of him.
Later that night, when Darcy is asleep Johnny swipes some hair from her face and kisses her temple before whispering “I love you” into her hair.
