Day Five (Steve/Darcy/Bucky)
“Bucky what did you buy?” Steve asks as soon as Bucky comes through the door carrying a small plastic bag. While Bucky is allowed to go out on his own he never does it and especially not to go into any kind of store, it’s to busy and there are to many potentially triggers still there.
Bucky just grunts and throws the small bag on the kitchen table as he lets himself collapse on the couch. His eyes are closed and Steve spares a glance at the bag before walking over to the couch and sitting besides his best friend turned lover. “Buck, you okay?” He nudges the man’s thigh, looking concerned. Bucky opens his eyes and groans theatrically. Steve smiles and settles more firmly into the couch before reaching out and pulling at Bucky’s shoulders. Bucky glares at the manhandling but when he realises that Steve wants his head in his lap for a massage he relents, because Steve has really talented hands and his head hurts.
For a long while it’s blessedly quiet except for the occasional grunt or moan as Steve’s hands dig into Bucky’s neck and shoulders. After all the knots are out of his muscles the hands become more gentle and it’s not long before Bucky is sleeping. Steve is happy just sitting and he grabs a book so he can read, petting Bucky’s hair all the while.
When Steve hears the front door open he has no idea of the time. He smiles fondly at the man that’s still sleeping in his lap and then cranes his neck to smile at Darcy. “Hi love.” He calls out softly and about twenty seconds later she fills his vision and leans down for a gentle kiss. “Hiya Steve.” Darcy reaches out and cards her fingers through his hear, giving him the urge to purr. His smile widens and he stretches a little without dislodging Bucky.
Darcy feels tired but satisfied after the long day she’s had and she smiles fondly at the sleeping man. “Hmm looks like he’s had a long day too.” She grins at Steve and moves towards the kitchen as Steve grabs her hand and pulls her back. “Come sit with us babe, we can order in.” He mumbles as he nuzzles her wrist. She sighs and lets her shoulders drop, forcing herself to relax a little. Steve is right and it will do her good to just sit for now. “What happened to him?” She eyes Bucky curiously, because Steve doesn’t seem sleepy which means they’ve gone their separate ways today, which is rare.
“He went to a store.” Steve gestures over to the discarded plastic bag as Darcy’s eyebrows rise in disbelief. She quickly grabs the bag and then finally walks around the couch to settle down into Steve’s side. She leans in to press a soft kiss to Bucky’s hair and relaxes, feet settling in beneath her. She opens the bag enough to peak inside and then she giggles. Steve watches her curiously as she giggles, a fond smile on her face and he relaxes again. Whatever is in the bag is a good thing, he thinks as Darcy puts it away and cuddles up to her two boyfriends. “Love you baby.”
