Moon full of emotions
“Can you just turn around so I can get undressed?” Miku pleaded with the vampire.
“Fine, fine, I will.” Luka finally agreed. Turning around at the foot of the bed to look at the wall, she could hear shuffling behind her. The very sound started to make Luka wonder about the werewolf’s body and make her craving almost unbearable. It’s the high that she couldn’t shake when she was with Miku, it was natural and heart pounding, it felt like nothing she ever felt before. Giving in, she turned her head to have a small glance over her shoulder.
“Could you make this less embarrassing!” Miku groaned, throwing her t-shirt over Luka’s head.
“We are both girls, why are you so shy?” Luka’s words were filled with annoyance that melted away upon the sight of her body. Miku was standing there in her underwear and bra, and hair untied laying in puddles around her. Her breath hitched as she bit on her lip, trying to keep her vampire teeth away.
“Say it, I know you have some smart ass remark to make.” Miku had a hand covering her face while the other wrapped around her body under her chest.
Luka watched the smaller framed girl stiffen waiting for a blow on her ego, which never mustered in the vampire’s brain. Miku was already in a defensive posture to protect the inner person that was already wounded by another who had also been graced with her vulnerability. It made the smile sink away from her own lips and the rest of her features soften. Luka’s hand reached out to pull Miku’s arm and body into the ghoul, her other hand pressed against Miku’s back. Luka’s own body became a shield to the inside air and negative thoughts that preyed on the werewolf.
“I think you look pretty for a werewolf,” she says, hoping to wedge a string of positive words into the unsecure wolf.
“Thanks, you don’t have to say anything.” Miku didn’t speak above a whisper while her head rested in Luka’s chest, unmoving.
“I don’t owe you anything but I understand what it’s like to hate the monster you grow into.” She started, a deep breath releasing between the sentences. “I used to hate being a vampire, but over years of learning about myself. I learned to like it.”
Miku pushed out of the vampire’s arms and looked over at the phone that rested on the bed. “Can you get in the closet, the moon is almost up.”
“Ah yeah, sure.” Luka ducked into the small closet, sitting all her weight on the backpack that Miku tossed in there. She began to wonder how strong the wooden doors of the closet would hide and protect her from a werewolf in their rawest form. They have strong massive claws that could rip through almost anything they made contact with, a pit in her atom grew knowing Luka would have to possibly harm or run from Miku or else face unbearable consequences.
Through the slits of the door paneling, the vampire watched Miku pace back and forth in the room before turning to have her back face the closet. Her hair hid her body but limps could be seen moving and then tossing the rest of her clothes off before letting out a sharp breath. Luka shifted on the backpack causing a crackling noise to escape the closet, Miku heard the sound and looked over her shoulder to stare daggers into the doors of the small space.
Luka watched as Miku’s face went from annoyance to a mixed emotion of pain and anger. The girl crumbled to the floor letting out a snarl, sounding monstrous mixed with a human yell. It was indescribable to the vampire’s ears on what she was hearing. On all fours Miku’s limps started to grow hair at inhuman speed, and loud snapping of joints joined in. She started to yelp in pain, as her fingers dug into the carpet of the room. Watching from the dark closet, this heavy oppressing feeling weighted Luka down. It felt like she was drowning and gasping for air, mind completely numb from the sheer guilt of not doing anything to help.
Her hand opened the closet door, as her other hand grabbed the carpet pulling the rest of her weight out. Crawling over to the collapsed Miku, Luka lowered her head to the floor where Miku’s face was. Her face was long gated to a snout and eyes tightly shut as the rest of her body kept morphing into a massive wolf. Luka rested a hand over her head, moving side to side to help soothe any pain that was still troubling the mind of the werewolf. Miku’s ear flattened to her head as she let out one more snarl before snapping her eyes open.
Her eyes were large and narrowed, they glowed and had an intense look on them. Luka fell back on her ass, breathing hard now that she realized what danger she subjected herself to. She was at the mercy of a massive werewolf on a full moon, Luka would count herself lucky if she escaped with one arm but the hope was slipping away as sweat covered her body.
“Hey Miku, don’t you remember me?” She practically begged, having one hand outstretched to the muzzle of the wolf.
The massive wolf had its lips curled up in a menacing growl, teeth long and a tongue that kept wetting the surface of them, drool dripping from edges of the mouth. The big wet nose hovered over the pale hand, hot air breathing all over her skin. Luka watched the wolf in anticipation of what would happen next, her body tense and blood cold as ice. Watching the wolf’s eyes narrow at her, the tense piercing icy turquoise eyes made her shiver as she gulped down any air that was stuck in her throat.
“Please don’t hurt me…” Luka begged.
The wolf breathed a heavy sigh before closing her eyes and opening again, this time they were wide and full of human emotion instead of a hungry wolf. Miku pushed her nose under Luka’s hand and wiped her wet nose in the palm. She then pushed the hand away, crawling into Luka’s lap to rest her massive head on the Vampire, her long fluffy tail wagging hard as loud thumps came from the floor due to the weight of the creature. Luka breathed a huge sigh of relief, as she flopped down on the floor in exhaustion from the whole event.
“You scared the absolute shit out of me.”
Miku just rubbed her head back and forth on her stomach, before she rested her muzzle between Luka’s breasts to look up at her face. The vampire’s hand began to rub the top of the wolf’s head, fingers entangling in the long fur. She was running her finger in circles on the beast’s head in a self soothing manner while letting the weight of the wolf’s head bring comfort to herself. The soft huffs of breathing from the wolf were in rhythm with Luka’s own breathing, making the previous tense moments melt away into a somber silence. It was the first time she had felt peace in years, an emotion she had long forgotten about and never thought to seek it out till now.
“I’m fucked.” She spoke, letting the silence of the room hold her words.
The wolf lifted her head and stood over Luka’s body with her muzzle in her face, giving soft licks to the woman’s cheek. The vampire playfully pushed the big beast aside while letting out a chuckle. Both now sitting up and looking at one another. Miku barked a few words, but Luka was unable to understand what she was saying.
“Sorry I don’t speak puppy,” Luka laughed before getting off the floor to move to the bed. “I hope you don’t mind but I’m gonna lay down in your bed. I have to sleep off some thoughts.” She said while looking over at the wolf before sitting on the edge of the bed. Deep sighing at her own thoughts of the werewolf and how close they have become and still not understanding it for a minute, she peeled off the sweatshirt that Miku lended to her and tossed it to the floor.
Miku jumped onto the bed, laying down next to Luka, watching her moves in anticipation of what she was doing next.
“I can’t sleep in these clothes, so don’t be weird and like sniff my clothes or whatever while I sleep ok?” She asked, tucking a piece of hair behind her ear. The wolf laid its head down on its paws, eyebrows still twitching as she looked forward at her claws and then back to see Luka. Rolling her eyes, Luka began to unbutton her shirt and let the fabric drip off her shoulders to lay around her waist. Her arms now free of any clothing but the straps of her bra on the shoulder, she rubbed each forearm to help itch off the feeling of the fabric that was no longer there.
Standing from the side of the bed, Luka unbuttoned her black slacks and let them fall to the floor with the buttoned shirt, it felt like she was finally free of her shell. Resting back on the bed, Luka stretched out a little before pulling back the covers to get comfortable. The werewolf had raised her head from her feet and stared at the vampire, licking her lips and nose while eyes would dart to Luka and then the wall.
“What is it?” She asked while resting against the pillow that was leaning on the wall, arms crossed over her chest.
Miku crawled her massive body over to lay next to Luka, having her front legs stretched over the vampire's legs. Her snout looked at the ghouls face and then traveled down to look at her chest before whining and laying her head back down over Luka, which caused her to laugh from watching the uncomfortable wolf shift.
“Liked what you saw?” Luka teased the wolf, her hands flapping her ears around to toy with the beast.
Miku let out a small rumble from her throat before squinting her eyes at the ghoul.
“Awh, this lil puppy got caught looking. You little peeping puppy.” She sang in a little cute voice that humans usually did with their own pets.
Miku breathed loudly, laying her ears flat against her head as if she was saying ‘stop it.’
“It’s ok lil puppy, I’ll allow it since you're my li-“ she cut herself off from finishing the sentence. ‘What in god and all her angels was she about to say?’
Luka almost slipped into a mindset that her human self would have enjoyed. The playful banter between the two, calling each other smartass and playful names such as puppy. The constant running into each other planned or not, having their ways being pulled apart only due to outside influences. Even tonight with the two of them sharing intimate moments of the vulnerability of Miku becoming a wolf on the full moon and Luka accepting her for who she was and even throwing herself into danger for the risk to comfort the wolf. What was she doing?
Miku picked her head up and rested it heavily on Luka’s chest, listening to the heartbeat of the vampire. Her heart was racing and cheeks were pink, eyes had twinkled of the possibility of tears. Though no matter how close Luka was feeling towards a possible panic attack, Miku was bringing her back to her senses. It was going to be ok.
“I can’t go back to the colony,” Luka finally breaths out.
