Katherine puts on one of her light pink dresses this one goes a bit longer than her other dresses which stop at her thigh. She's so excited it's only been a few weeks since they confessed their feelings for each other and now they are going on their first actual date now that everything has died down just a bit. They still must date privately and not let anyone not even other rulers or Owen know since things will rise back up again but for once Katherine can just be Katherine. She doesn't have to worry about Joey or the villagers since the date will be in the Evermoore. She looks out her window to see Shelby fly in and walk inside the castle. Katherine runs down the stairs being a bit careful so she doesn't fall.
"SHELBY!!" Katherine yells as she runs up to Shelby and hugs her.
"Katherine." Shelby hugs her back kissing Katherine's cheek making the princess blush a bit. Shelby starts peppering the other's face with kisses until Katherine giggled a bit. "Are you ready princess?" Shebly asks offering her arm to Katherine.
"Yes, I'm ready witch." Katherine giggles a bit taking Shebly's arm and kissing her cheek making the witch blush.
"Then off we go." Shebly takes the lead by walking both her and Katherine outside of the castle and taking off into the air with Katherine following soon after. Once they both landed in the Evermoore they made sure no one followed them before Shelby guided Katherine to their date area. The date was a beautiful dinner near edge of the swamp, hanging above the table and chairs are floating candles with frogs and toads jumping up thinking they were fireflies. Katherine laughs when Tortoise pops up from under Shebly's hat and jumps into the air with the other toads and frogs. Shebly runs after Tortoise trying to get him to stop jumping at the candles. "Tortoise stop those are not food." Shebly runs after Tortoise as he runs away from her making the witch trip and fall a couple of time. Katherine continues to laugh at them until Tortoise jumped in her hands, Shebly stood before them taking in deep breathes since she ran so much. Katherine starts to pet Tortoise as she made her way over to the table with Shelby following. Katherine puts down Tortoise and pulls out a chair for Shelby to sit on.
"Thank you." Shebly sits down and takes Katherine's hand kissing the back of it. Katherine blushed a little and sat down on the other side of the table.
"Shebly?" Shebly looked up at the mention of her name.
"Yes?" Shebly responded holding Katherine's hand on the table.
"You know we can never be together publicly so that means no kissing, hugging romantically, hand holding or gifts on certain holidays. You kissing my face in the castle was a risky move just be glad no one caught us." Katherine rubbed her thumb over Shebly's hand.
"Yeah I know I was just excited to finally go on a date with you after all this time." Shebly looks down at their hands.
"You know I love you even though I can't say it publicly. Every single time you look at me remember that I love you no matter what happens." Katherine brings Shebly's hand up and kisses the back of it.
"I love you too, I think everyone knows I love you besides you in the beginning of course." Shebly blushes a bit as Katherine squeezes Shebly's hand.
"Shebly, I will love you no matter what, even if someone finds out about us I will take the backlash with you. I will protect you till the ends of the Earth. I will wish upon every star, every 4 leaf clover, every rabbit's foot to be with you. I will trade my own life if it means you'll be happy." Katherine looks at Shelby straight in the eyes.
"My life won't be happy with out you in it. Sure I was happy before we confessed our feelings but that was because I could admire you from far away and sometimes up close," Shelby leans across the table to cup Katherine's face, "My dear you aren't the only one wishing that we can be together publicly. You look so beautiful my darling and I would let everyone else die if it means I can be with you." Katherine blushes a bit.
"You do as well my dear. I love you I don't care how many times I will say it as long as I'm saying it to you," After few moments of silence Katherine asks, "may I kiss you?" Shebly turns fully red and nods her head. Katherine removes Shebly's hands from her face and quickly kisses Shebly. "Was that good? Did I do it wrong? Oh my gosh I messed up our date. Oh my gosh oh my gos-" Katherine gets cut off by Shelby giving her a kiss back. Once they parted Katherine turns fully red refusing to look at Shelby in the eyes.
"To answer your question the kiss was great." Shebly puts her forehead on Katherine's holding Katherine's hands on the table below them.
"We should probably sit down and continue our food that you so lovingly prepared for us." Katherine sat back down in her sit still holding Shelby's hand. Shelby sits back down holding Katherine's hand with both of her hands. They were peacefully enjoying their food when they heard a camera click, Katherine immediately puts her head down trying to cover herself up as Shebly pulls out her scythe. Sausage appears from behind one of the near by trees holding up his hands showing he had the camera.
"I'm sorry I'm sorry I just wanted to take a picture so if and when you guys get married I can put this, and hopefully, more pictures on a board and give it to you guys as a gift." Shelby steps closer to him.
"How did you know we were here?"
"Oh the animals told me." Sausage replied quickly.
"The animals?" Shelby questioned him. Sausage nods his head. "Yes the animals I can show you if you want, I can go ahead and talk to Tortoise." Sausage still had his hands up in the air and started to walk slowly over to where Tortoise was. Shelby continues to watch him while Katherine got up to make sure no one else was there with Sausage.
"Hola Tortoise can you please tell me something only Shelby will know so I can proof to her I can talk to animal?" Sausage asked the toad getting a few croaks in response making Sausage giggle a bit.
"What did he say?" Katherine asked now sitting next to Sausage.
"He said that Shelby has a ghost problem over here and he thinks that Shelby has gone crazy but he's happy that you and Shelby are finally together." Shelby turns a bit red.
"Now we know you can speak to animals was there anyone else with you?" Katherine looks at Sausage and Sausage shakes his head.
"No one came with me, trust me your sercet is safe with me." Sausage puts his hand on his heart.
"Last time I trusted you with a sercet you told Joey." Shebly puts away her scythe as Katherine starts tearing up a bit.
"Katherine are you ok?" Sausage reaches over to Katherine.
"No no I'm not ok." Katherine starts crying a bit more. Shelby beats Sausage to hold Katherine.
"Shush shush it's ok it's ok," Shelby pulls Katherine closer to her, "Do you want to tell what's wrong my dear?"
"If Sausage accidentally tells Joey, I'm going to have stop seeing you cause Joey will threaten you and both of our empires will be destroyed. I know I said I was going to face the backlash with you but I don't know if I can. I want to keep seeing you please, I'm so sorry you fell in love with me." Katherine starts crying even more gently shoving her face into Shelby's chest holding on to the witch for dear life mumbling apologizes.
"I promise I won't say anything. I swear on Saint Pearl that I won't tell anyone." Sausage puts his hand back on his heart looks up at the sky. Shelby starts rudding little circles into Katherine's back.
"Sausage I'll give you one more chance don't tell anyone." Shebly looks at Sausage in the eyes and Sausage nods his head.
"I'll leave right now." Sausage got up and picked up the camera eyeing Shelby as he did that. Shelby nods her head and he takes the camera and flies off.
"My love?" Shelby looks down at Katherine meeting her eyes.
"Yes?" "He won't tell anyone." Shelby reassures her. "If you say so." Katherine yawns and looks up at the sky. Shelby looks up at the sky as well.
"It is getting late."
"Is it alright if I stay here for the night? I really don't feel like flying to my kingdom and getting asked a bunch of questions." Katherine moves her head from Shelby's chest to Shelby's neck nosing the witch's neck a bit.
"Of course my dear, I can get you another bed." Katherine shakes her head. "I want cuddles." Katherine looks at Shelby giving her a little kiss on the nose. Shelby turns bright red at both the statement and the kiss.
"O-of course." Shelby looks away trying to hide her blushing face.
"We don't have to if it makes you uncomfortable I don't want to do anything that will make you uncomfortable." Katherine cups Shebly's face making the witch face her.
"No it's alright it's just that you know the whole us going on our first date and me being totally in love with you and you wanting cuddles. It's just a lot to take in but yes we can cuddle." Shelby kisses Katherine's cheek making both of them blush.
"Are you sure?" Katherine tilts her head like a confused puppy.
"Yes," Shelby replies quickly picking them both off of the ground, "I was planning on clean everything up later anyways." Katherine giggles a bit.
"We don't have to cuddle right now we can clean and then cuddle."
"But you said you wanted cuddles, I want to do that as quickly as possible so I can cuddle you for longer."
"Oh I see, you only agreed to cuddling me so you can cuddle with me. You're a scandal." Katherine jokes loving the way Shebly giggles.
"Yeah I'm the scandal, say didn't you ditch your kingdom to go on a date with a witch as a crused princess?" Shelby jokes back laughing a bit.
"Let's just go to sleep you silly." Katherine kiss the corner of Shelby's mouth as she walks away towards Shelby's house.
"Hey that's not fair." Shebly quietly yells chasing after Katherine. Once they we both in Shelby's house, Katherine took off her shoes and put away her wepons with Shelby following suite. Katherine flops on Shelby's bed rolling over a bit and patting a spot next to her. Shelby gets on the bed next to Katherine and Katherine immediately cuddles closer to Shelby putting her head next to Shelby's chest. Shelby blushes a little and covers the two of them with a blanket. Katherine moves closer to Shelby this time wrapping her arms around Shelby's back. Katherine leans in a bit to whisper, "Is this ok?" Shelby immediately nods her head wrapping her arms around Katherine's back whispering the same question and getting the same response. Soon the two feel alseep in each other's hands and for once in both of their lives they finally feeling safe.
