A New Diet
Unlike all the different places that were lively during the day and calmed down a little at night in Republic City, like Little Ba Sing Se or even the Little Water Tribe neighborhood, the Red Light District was the only place that was lively at night. The entrance to the district was decorated by an ornate red arch with lights upon it and even more once you made your way in. It was a place filled with lust, pleasure, and beauty, its main concentration being sex work. You may find food stalls here and there but the center stage of this place was its three most famous and prominent pleasure houses, the Tokito House, Kyogoku House and the Ogimoto House.
One of them being home to two Upper Rank demons, Daki and her brother Gyutaro.
This is where Korra found herself.
She blended in with the crowd easily, it seemed to always be busy here, everyone going in and out of brothels minding their own business. She continued walking down the path of the many brothels, even passing by two of the very prominent ones; however, they weren't the ones she was looking for. Korra appreciated the flashiness of this place, it suited the environment well enough.
As she absorbed the sights around her, she realized she had made it to her destination, the home of Upper Rank Six, the Kyogoku House. She hoped Daki didn’t mind if she indulged herself first before coming to see her, Korra needed to relax. She walked through the curtains entering the establishment and was met with the hostess of the house. She was a middle aged woman who had sharp eyes and dark hair, she wore her hair up and was wearing a dark patterned kimono. The conversation started simple,
“Welcome in ma’am, anything particular that you’re interested in?” The hostess gave a polite smile to Korra as she tilted her head to the side towards some of the courtesans that were mingling with other guests. Korra followed the line of sight and was met with very beautiful women. “I’m looking to have a bath, full service of course.” She replied back to the hostess while her eyes lingered at all the courtesans appreciatively.
“Of course, that’ll run you about 3,000 yuan,” She expected such a price which is why she snatched people’s pockets while she was making her way here. She gladly provided the hostess with the crisp pink bills which delighted her very much. The hostess guided her with her hand to the girls, “I’ll have someone prepare the room. You may choose whoever you may like, enjoy ma’am.” With that, Korra was almost all set as she walked over to all the beautiful courtesans but there was one who was eyeing her the moment she had stepped foot in the house. Said woman met her half way and immediately started to feel up on her arms, “Well aren’t you handsome,” she squeezed Korra’s muscles and she flexed them as she did so, “and strong.”
The woman leaned closer to Korra and spoke into her ear, a sultry tone dripping from her mouth, “What’s your name?” Korra leaned into her as well, enjoying the attention from the woman, “It’s Korra, now what can I call you?” She whispered back into her ear which made the woman lick her lips seductively at Korra with lust evident in her eyes.
“You can call me Hina. Now Korra, let me take care of you tonight?” She grabbed her hand gently, her eyes waiting for a response which Korra was more than eager to give, “Then lead the way.” She was led into a room that was prepared for her just like the hostess promised. There was a wooden bathtub filled with warm water, towels nearby and a blue robe which she presumed was for her afterwards. The source of light filling the room came from lit candles around them which helped set the mood even further.
She slipped off her boots and put them neatly to the side before the courtesan started to help undress her. Greedy eyes followed greedy hands, Hina lifted up her sleeveless shirt over her head and hungrily raked her nails over Korra’s abs before continuing. She placed kisses down her muscular body until her hands met her wolf pelt and pants, looking up at her with hungry filled eyes. Korra bit her lip at the sight, both women's eyes reflecting the same thoughts. Hina then pulled the pelt away from her body and got rid of her pants and everything beneath it, only leaving her in her chest wraps which she was removing as quickly as she could. The woman brightened at the sight, seeing how eager Korra was, she couldn’t deny that she herself was too.
She placed a kiss right above where Korra needed her to be before she moved her way back up, kissing areas she had missed, raking her hands along the way which sent satisfying chills along Korra’s body. Everything was going great except that she was the only one undressed now.
“I think it’s my turn now.” She whispered into her ear as Hina placed kisses along her neck. She halted her ministrations which caused Korra to whine from the lack of contact, “Be patient, handsome, we’ve only just begun.” She planted a kiss on her cheek before gesturing for Korra to get in the tub. As Korra did so, she relaxed even further in the tub releasing out a sigh of contentment. Her mind was now far away from the events of dinner.
As she sunk a little further, warm soapy hands found their way across her chest. Hina began to massage Korra’s breasts as she went back to kissing up on her neck and nibbling on her ear. Light moans emerged from her throat from the stimulation Hina was applying to her breasts and where her lips kissed. She circled one nipple as her other hand came up to gently squeeze around Korra’s throat causing her to gasp. She turned her head towards the woman and their lips finally met. There was no doubt that this was Korra’s first time but again, she was a quick learner. She let Hina take control over the kiss, filled with lust and nothing more. She nibbled on Korra’s bottom lip before letting go, Korra chasing her lips for more but was met with a wonderful sight.
Hina detached herself fully from Korra and stepped right in front of the tub beginning to undress herself. Korra raked her eyes along her beautiful body as the woman’s kimono fell to the floor and joined her in the tub. She straddled her lap and Korra’s hands immediately went to grab her waist, leaning in once again into a heated kiss.
It was her turn to finally leave kisses over this woman’s body, starting from her jaw, her neck and making her way down to her breasts. She closed her mouth over a perky nipple and traced circles with her tongue around it, the lovely sounds coming from the woman on top of her encouraging her to do more. She gripped her waist a little harder, making sure to be careful with her claws, and started rocking her back and forth on her lap, the water following along. Korra let go of her breast with a pop and started to treat the other breast with the same amount of attention, if not more.
She looked up from her ministrations to see Hina’s skin flushed a beautiful red and her purple eyes staring into her blue ones. She was panting and arched herself even more into Korra.
As she continued, she was rewarded with a throaty moan while Hina was grinding herself on her lap.
“Why don’t you show me what those muscles can do, handsome?” She was breathless while she was riding Korra’s lap in the tub. She wrapped her legs around her and stood up carrying her out, her hands now gripping her ass instead of her waist. Hina undid the wolf tail holding up her hair and pulled on it causing Korra to moan at the new feeling of pleasure. She smirked at her while she bent all the water off them back into the tub with one hand and walked to the futon waiting for them.
As she’s about to lay her down, Hina pushes her onto her back instead a little roughly but she likes it and the way she’s looking at her, like she’s about to devour her. Her hands were now pinned by the side of her head while Hina fixed her center right over her abs, “You’ll let me ride you, won't you?” She felt the heat pool in her center from the scent of arousal and feeling how wet she was, “Anything you want, beautiful.” She hadn’t even noticed how breathless she sounded.
She rocked herself on Korra’s abs in a slow steady rhythm at first, Korra mesmerized by the sway of her breasts as she went on. She unpinned Korra’s hands and rested them behind her on her strong thighs as she picked up her pace, rocking on them like her life depended on it. Korra rubbed the insides of her thighs slowly before rubbing her clit with her right hand. She circled the sensitive nub as Hina became a moaning mess, the sight turning her on even more. Such a beautiful woman coming undone on top of her, they maintained eye contact the entire time as she gripped her thigh, helping her ride out her orgasm. It almost made her come undone without even being touched where she wanted her to so badly.
Her hands traveled upwards, cupping her breasts as Hina leaned down connecting their lips in a sloppy kiss. Her hands started to trail alongside Korra’s body as she adjusted herself on top of her, trailing kisses down towards where Korra needed her the most. Korra leaned up on her elbows as a kiss was pressed above her center and then skillful fingers made its way through her folds, slipping into her easily by how aroused she was.
They maintained eye contact as Hina pumped her fingers inside of her, sucking on her clit at the same time, increasing the pleasure of it all. Throaty moans escaped her throat as she was getting closer to her sweet sweet release, Hina’s tongue not letting up nor her fingers. She could feel her walls clench around her fingers and as she curled them up in a come hither motion, Korra came hard in her hand. Curses coming out of her mouth as Hina helped her ride out her orgasm till she couldn’t take it anymore. She whined a little as she pulled her fingers out but then was rewarded with them in her mouth, tasting herself on her tongue.
She held her wrist as she sucked her fingers off clean, “Now let me show you what else I can do.”
The steamy session went on for a little bit after and then finished, leaving Korra a breathless but relaxed mess. She was now in the blue robe that was left for her, she figured she could finish getting dressed in Daki’s room as the only things underneath her robe were her chest bindings and loincloth, she just couldn’t be bothered to get fully dressed at this moment.
Clothes in hand, she made her way around the building avoiding running into anyone on her way to the furthest end of the house where Daki was. She came to the bridge that connected the main house to a smaller living quarter where said demon resided. She deposited her boots outside and then opened the sliding door with an upbeat attitude, “Daki!” Her arms were spread wide in greeting as she dropped her clothes to the side and proceeded to get comfy on some pillows. Said woman was sitting at her low vanity looking at Korra through her small mirror, an eyebrow raised, “Have you no manners?”
She continued to lounge with that crooked goofy grin on her face as she replied back, “What? You should be happy to see me!” That earned her a tsk from Daki and a quick shake of her head, “I am, but you could learn to knock, stupid.” She teased her and Korra just stuck her tongue out at her. She watched her as she finished doing the last touch ups of her makeup before sitting with Korra.
“So what brings you to this side of town besides,” She looked Korra up and down in her blue robe which was clearly from here, “finding pleasure with one of the girls?” Korra didn’t fight the blush she knew was on her cheeks, too relaxed and carefree to even care, “Just wanted to visit my favorite Upper Moons you know?” She leaned on her shoulder before continuing, “I’m also here for good.”
“That so?” Korra could hear the smile on her voice without having to look at her, “Things’ll get much more interesting around here.” She sounded pleased and she couldn’t agree more. They fell into light conversation after, talking about whatever seemed to come out of their mouths, it didn’t matter if it was important or not, Korra could always fall into pleasant conversation with her. Despite her childish and sadistic nature, the two of them got along very well.
The moonlight had angled its way into the room casting a nice light on her as she laid down while Daki was talking about the hostess who seemed like she was on to her, “Sooner or later I’m going to kill that bitch, she should know that I’m the one who has brought this house success.”
She hummed back in response, “For centuries I might add, if she cherishes her life then she’d do better to just listen.” Even though she did not kill humans, she had no qualms about her fellow demons doing so. That was their circle of life.
“But you know how my famous rumor goes.” Daki says offhandedly with a wave of her hand.
“It’s more of a story than a rumor idiot.” She flicks her forehead with her finger and quickly dodges Daki’s try at an attack, “What name will you take next huh, Warabihime?” She laughed a little as she said her oiran disguise name, she was more used to Daki.
“Anything with “hime” attached at the end of course, to keep my famous story going.” At that they both giggled, enjoying the silly banter between them.
However, it was time for Korra to head back to the island. Time had passed quickly while she had her fun and catching up with Daki, but before she said her goodbyes, there was something that lingered on her mind while they were chatting. She got up and sat on her knees across her fellow Upper Moon, “Do you have any blood I could have?” Now this piqued Daki’s interest. She saw her raise her brow and the corner of her lips quirk up, “Things really are getting interesting,” she got up then, making her way towards a chest and simply moving it aside which revealed a hole. A space in the ground that was her underground chamber which held many of the women that used to work there in her sash, waiting to be devoured.
As Daki went to retrieve the goods, Korra took this time to dress herself. She was putting her arm band on just as Daki came back with several pouches of blood in her hand, she chose the finest specimens to collect from for her.
“Got tired of eating animals?” She handed the pouches to her, Korra taking them with no hesitation, pocketing them down the sides of her boots, “I needed something more…fulfilling.” That was true, she couldn’t keep going like this every night whereas with human blood she was more than sure she could go a while without needing to feast again. The more human blood a demon consumes, the stronger they get.
They bid each other a farewell after that, Korra promising to visit from time to time and Daki promising to keep her well supplied whenever she needed. Back to the island it was as the sun would be rising in just a few hours.
She slipped back into the shadows of the island, avoiding any guards on patrol on her way to her room. She went in through her window once she arrived and took her boots off putting them to the side of her unused bed. She retrieved the blood pouches from her boots and quickly figured she’d need to store them out of sight if anybody would, though highly unlikely, go through her room. There was nothing intriguing about it anyway, her clothes in the closet, boots by the bed and the walls bare. It was her room, but there was nothing about it to make it something someone would take an interest in and that was more than fine.
She ended up stashing them away in the back of her closet and grabbing two before closing it shut. Sitting down finally with one of the pouches in her hand and the other put down right next to her, the blood was a deep shade of crimson, a memory slowly crawling its way to the front of her mind from that night…her mouth slowly starting to salivate.
She wasted no time in ripping the pouch open with her fang but carefully as to not let a single drop go to waste. Bringing it up to her lips, she greedily drank the crimson liquid, it felt warm as it went down her throat. As she finished it, her hand had already grabbed the second one and greedily consumed it. How dearly her body had missed the taste of human blood. It felt like something missing had finally made its way back to her.
Spirits did it make her feel amazing.
She sighed in contentment, licking her lips as to get the last remnants of blood on them. She then laid on the floor, a smile making its way to her lips as she relished in this feeling that she had not felt since then. She felt stronger, her body felt better than it had in years. She allowed her eyes to close and basked in this feeling returning to her body till it was time for morning meditation.
A soft knock to her door alerted her that it was time for that dreading part of her training. Korra didn’t hate it per se, she just never got anywhere trying to connect with the spiritual part inside her, to her past lives, Raava. She got nothing unlike the physical parts. She felt it was useless, she didn’t have any light within her.
Another soft knock to her door and she quickly noted it wasn’t the usual knocks she heard from the kids, kids as in Meelo. Maybe it was Pema she thought?
“Coming,” she said as she slid the door open only to reveal her airbending master, Tenzin. Her eyes widened slightly at the figure at her door, not expecting it to be him. He must have noticed when he stated the obvious, “Were you expecting it to be someone other than myself?”
“Yes actually, didn’t know you were capable of knocking softly.” She teased him a bit which earned a smile from Tenzin until his face morphed into something a bit serious.
“I wanted to talk to you about what happened during dinner last night.”
She blinked a couple times before remembering the reason she had left last night.
“Oh um, sure.” She responded a little awkwardly, rubbing the side of her neck, “Did you want to come in?” She threw her thumb behind her pointing inside her room. “No that’s alright, come with me to my study?” She nodded and followed him to where their morning meditations took place and where she had technically failed at a smooth break in.
He gestured for her to sit across from him and so she did, making herself comfortable even though it felt like this was going to be some emotional talk. Human emotion was something that was hard for her, she did not completely understand it nor knew how to react to such displays of emotion. The two that she was most familiar with were anger and gratefulness, however anger being the one that came easier.
Tenzin cleared his throat before he began, Korra really didn’t want to talk about it, she had practically forgotten about it after her excursion but she’d listen to what he’d have to say.
“It wasn’t right of me to say that you couldn’t leave the island.” She must’ve misheard hadn’t she? But the look in his eyes confirmed that she hadn’t, what she found in them was not pity, but remorse.
“It’s true that I don’t know what you felt or went through at the compound with my mother, even despite the many letters she wrote to me about you.” Korra remembers the letters, when they weren’t sitting in silence or listening to Katara’s stories from back then, she’d listen to her read them aloud. They were usually about his family, what they were up to, the births of Ikki and Meelo, how Master Katara and her were doing. Of course her other children wrote to their mother too and she’d listen but she had never known what Katara had ever sent back as a reply to any of them. She hadn’t cared as much, she was usually always very angry even if she kept that inside.
Tenzin continued on, “I had said what I said because I thought I was doing the right thing, making sure you were focused but I realized I was wrong.” Korra sat there, unmoving and eyes to the ground not knowing how to feel before he continued.
He took a deep breath, “I do care about you Korra, but the last thing I wanted to do was to make you relive what you went through back at the compound and for that, I am deeply sorry.” She couldn’t help but squeeze her fists tightly, an apology was something she had never expected. “I took away your freedom and that is something I should’ve never done. It completely goes against what airbending truly is about.”
Something inside of her thought, how pathetic.
A human apologizing to a demon about taking away their freedom.
Muzan had given her freedom, he had told her she had just as much freedom as he and the rest of her fellow demons had. She could go anywhere she wanted, she wasn’t going to listen to anyone. She proved that to Tenzin, even if he didn't know, when she had left the island days later on our own. Even if Pema hadn’t said anything, she would have gone because Lord Muzan’s words were true to her.
However, something about Tenzin laying out his feelings towards her about his words, it really did affect him. The emotions in his eyes were real and she tried so hard to search through his words for a hint of something. A hint that maybe he didn’t mean them, that they were false but spirits she found nothing.
For a moment, she really wished he was saying this out of pity instead because his words began to seep through the walls she held ever so high around herself.
Maybe she was the pathetic one, she couldn’t even look him in the eyes as she replied, “Thank you.” Her tone was curt but she tried to be polite about it. It was too much for her and at this moment she really wished they were in their morning meditation session which she never saw herself saying but, there's a first for everything.
Tenzin wasn’t deterred by the tone of her reply, he just hummed in acknowledgment. She was grateful for that but she needed to break the silence that fell upon them after, “Are we going to go through morning meditation without the kids?” She had finally unclenched her jaw and loosened her posture.
“We’re going to do something a bit different this morning,” Korra gave him an inquisitive look before hearing the sound of a door open then close, followed by the kids yelling that they were back, “The kids decided last night that they wanted to go get you some things for your room.” He had the most gentle smile on his face as she heard the footsteps of the kids coming closer by the second.
“Korra Korra!!” Meelo yelled as he slid to a stop in front of the entrance to his father’s study, “You have no choice but to follow us to your room!” With that the boy quickly disappeared and was off. Her eyes widened as she didn’t even get the chance to speak to the hyperenergetic child. Shortly after, Jinora and Ikki came into view holding some bags with Pema right behind them, “Good morning Korra,” Pema’s voice was light but cheery, “The kids had a really great idea last night.”
“It was all my idea!” Ikki said with a big grin on her face before her older sister nudged her, “It was all our idea.”
Tenzin got up from where he sat and looked down to Korra, “Well you heard the boy, let's go follow them.”
She stood up then, anticipation coursing throughout her entire body with each step. She had kept her room at the compound simple, the walls almost bare except for the few scrolls of art her parents brought. It was the same here except her walls were bare, she had no need for extra things, there wasn’t a point in making the room really hers when she was going to leave after she mastered airbending, but Pema and the kids had gone out of their way for her.
As they walked in, Meelo was on top of her bed trying to figure out a placement for what appeared to be a Watertribe tapestry in his small arms. It reminded her of the one Katara had in her healing room. A small smile started to creep up on her face as she watched Ikki and Jinora grab some more things out of a bag. They looked so happy to be there, giving her room a personal touch and Korra just couldn’t find it in her body to be negative, to say there was no point, that it was pathetic of them.
Watching them around the room as if they were on a mission to make sure she had everything she needed, they really did see her as a part of their family even if she could never see herself that way.
Pema had apparently gotten her some new boots which happened to be lighter and thinner than her usual ones. She thanked Pema for the kind gesture and gift, it was the right thing to do. As Tenzin and Pema helped the kids place the rest of what they bought in the room, she took a step back to take in its new look.
There was the Watertribe tapestry above her bed, two scrolls of beautiful art, one placed by the closed window and the other next to her closet, her new boots at the foot of her bed right next to her usual ones and apparently new sheets which were two different shades of blue. It was far different from what it used to look like before and she couldn’t help but like it.
“So do you like it Korra!” Ikki said as she bounced on over looking up at her waiting for a response. The sight of a child full of innocence and joy, she wouldn’t dare take that away and crush it. She could not do that to a child.
She raised her arm and patted Ikki gently on the head, “I do, thank you.” A gentle smile just like the one Tenzin had given her was now on her face. She looked up to the rest of them and bowed her head slightly as a thank you.
“Oh wait,” it appeared that Jinora had forgotten something. She had reached in one of the bags to find what seemed to be missing, “Oh there it is! I knew something was missing.” It was Meelo who spoke as he recognized what was in his older sister's hand. Jinora walked over to her and handed her what appeared to be an otter penguin plushie. “We couldn’t find any polar bear dog ones but there were plenty of otter penguins.”
Korra held the plushie with both hands, staring down at it with something akin to familiarity. Of course she knew what otter penguins were, they were native to the Southern Water Tribe though she would rarely see them during her hunts at the compound. There was just something about it that she couldn’t place her finger on even though it was just a simple plushie.
“Why are you crying Korra? Did we do something wrong?” Ikki said.
What?
Was she really crying?
She reached a hand up to her face and lo and behold, there were tears slowly streaming down her cheeks. She flinched at the realization.
She has never cried so she doesn’t understand what had even caused her to do so, it felt so wrong. There was nothing ever worth crying about.
She quickly wiped the tears off her face and cleared her throat, “No, you didn’t do anything wrong, I promise.” That seemed to put the kids back at ease but both Pema and Tenzin looked a tad worried but she reassured them she was fine.
“Alright come on kids, time for morning meditation.” Tenzin clapped his hands while ushering the kids out the room, “Let's give Korra some time to adjust with all her new stuff.” Pema added along after Tenzin, shooting Korra a thoughtful look.
As they ushered out the room Korra could hear Ikki and Meelo complain, “How come Korra doesn’t have to come with us?”
“I decided to give her the morning off.” Tenzin replied, which earned him a response from Meelo, “Can we get the morning off too then!”
“No can do kiddo.” He teased back to his son.
She could hear the grumbling from the kids except Jinora, she really had a knack for it. But Korra didn’t want to be left to wonder what caused her to cry, so she ended up joining them a couple of minutes after she laid the plushie on her pillow.
