"Oh come on Kate darling just a few decorations?" Jo Jones begged as she placed glittery heart shaped deelyboppers on Kate's head "Ms Jones please it's 7am and I've not had my coffee yet" she huffed as she sat at her desk "if you must, but no flowers I don't want Osgood running in here with her allergies flared up" Jo nodded and left to decorate.
It was now 9am and Kate had just got off the phone with the Prime Minister, updating them on the alien situation as it had been a busy month with accidental invasions. She went straight to Osgood's lab as she usually did when she was irritated by the UK Government and walked straight into what seemed like a forest of red and pink roses "Os?" she looked around trying to find the brunette "ma'am?" a voice called out from one of the cupboards "why on earth are you in your cupboard?" she enquired "someone, I think it was Josh because he's the only one dumb enough to forget my allergies and the fact I'm just not interested in him, brought me flowers as a valentines gift", "I see, I would've had serious words with Jo if it wasn't because I did have to remind her about the no flowers rule".
By the time all the flowers had been disposed of the only thing out of the ordinary, well more out of the ordinary than usual, left was a big card and a tin of Jammie dodgers "what's this?" Osgood asked as the flowers had taken over her lab by the time she'd arrived that morning, Kate just grinned suspiciously, gave her a kiss and left back to her office where she also found a big card and dino plushie on her desk. Both women, without realising, had slipped into each others office/lab and left their valentines gifts for each other.
Osgood ran into Kate's office, presents and card in hand and sat straight in her lap and hugged her tight "thank you" she kissed her "and thank you" she kissed her back. "Why are you wearing deelyboppers?" Osgood asked the blonde "ugh, Jo" she rolled her eyes "I think they're cute", "really?", "yeah, they bring out your eyes" she smiled and kissed her again "I love you Ossy", "I love you too Katie".
