Stung to Shame
Skidding to a halt as he entered the common area, with Uraraka and Todoroki, Midoriya slammed into the couch as he announced, “Hey guys, what do you think about making that beach trip an annual thing…?!”
“NO!” Kirishima and Kaminari immediately reply, jumping in their seats, while Bakugo ignored everyone.
“All right, that’s it, you guys.” Uraraka sighed as she crossed her arms, giving the three an even stare as she asked, “What happened out there before?”
“What? We took a walk. Nothing happened. I came back with nothing all over me.” Kirishima tried to get their eyes off him, but what he said only made him sound even more suspicious.
“What does that mean?”
“Come on, what happened…?!” Midoriya whined out as he leaned away from the couch. When no one decided to answer him, he took it upon himself to single one of them out, raising a brow in their direction as he called, “Kaminari?”
His victim, Kaminari, froze up before he let out a breath of defeat, sighing as he slowly began to stand, “Okay…”
“No- Kaminari! We swore we’d never tell!”
“They’ll never understand.” Bakugo calmly agreed with Kirishima, who tried to sit Kaminari back down on the couch.
“But we have to say something. We have to get it out- It’s eating me alive…!” Kaminari shook the redhead before he eventually shoved Kirishima to the side, exclaiming as if it was the end of the world as he shouted, “Kirishima got stung by a jellyfish!”
Midoriya, Todoroki, and Uraraka blinked, as if asking if that was all until Kirishima came clean as well, “All right! I got stung…! Stung badly- I couldn’t stand, couldn’t walk.”
“We were two miles from the hotel.” Bakugo provided, holding up his hand with two fingers as he admitted, “We were scared and alone. We didn’t think we could make it.”
“I was in too much pain…” Kirishima sniffed, recalling the memory to mind as his hands trembled at his side.
“And I was tired from digging a huge hole.”
“Wait, what?” Todoroki wanted more answers about why he was digging a hole, but they moved on before he could ask.
“Then Dunce Face remembered something.” Bakugo pointed over to the sparked blond, who puffed up as he was given centerstage again.
“I’d seen this thing on Discovery Channel-”
“Wait a minute, I saw that, too…! On the Discovery Channel, right? Yeah, about jellyfish and how if you-” Midoriya was well on his way to sputtering out information, but his brain worked faster than his mouth as he suddenly gaped in disgust, “EW- You peed on yourself, Kirishima?!”
“EWWWW!”
“You can’t say that! You don’t know! I thought I was gonna pass out from the pain.” Kirishima defended his actions, pointing an accusing finger over to the three before he continued, “Anyway, I tried, but I couldn’t… bend that way, so…”
As Kirishima’s guilty eyes looked over to Kaminari, getting the implication, their three classmates again gagged in horror, “EWW!”
“That’s right…! I stepped up! He’s my friend, and he needed help. If I had to, I’d pee on any one of you…!” Kaminari huffed, and with that kind of attitude, it had the three reconsidering their reaction. But that was until they heard the next part, watching the blond sheepishly admit as he tapped his fingers together, “Only, uh, I couldn’t… I got stage fright- I wanted to help…! But… There was too much pressure. So, I, um… I turned to Bakugo.”
“Dunce Face kept screaming at me, ‘Do it now. Do it. Do it now.’. Sometimes, late at night, I can still hear the screaming.”
“That’s because sometimes I just do it through your wall to freak you out.” Kaminari chuckled as the four shot him a look of concern.
The entire conversation, Bakugo had been scrolling on his phone, only relaying information when it was necessary, but he never looked up from it. Not once. Until just right now, turning his crimson eyes toward Kaminari as they narrowed onto the blond, which caused the other four to become even more concerned for their friend’s life.
