Everyone froze. The battle between the two gangs came to a halt as a scream of pain ripped through the sounds of battle. Standing, a knife in her back, was the Tokyo Manji Gang’s coordinate. Toman’s leader, Sano Manjiro- aka Mikey- turned to look at what happened as his best friend, Draken, yelled his younger twin’s name.
His eyes found her fallen to the ground, two former members of his gang standing over her, one in fear, the other in absolute terror. Spotting a knife in the latter’s hand, all Mikey could see was red.
Sano Akko- only 15 years old- had died.
A cry was heard as the newborn was handed over to her mother. Just moments after her, was her twin. The two newborns cried as their mother held them to her chest.
“Shhh.” She hushed them, smiling at the two. “Welcome to the world Katsuki, Akko.”
Where was she? She didn’t recognise anything. Akko looked around the dimly lit room. Beside her, a figure shifted in its sleep. Her gaze landed on it. He looks like a mini Manjiro. She thought, reaching a hand towards the other baby she shared the crib with. Suddenly a light flicked on and a familiar voice entered the room.
“Aw, Akko, do you like your brother?” The older blonde cooed. Akko managed a nod as the woman picked her up and out of the crib. Feeling his sister be removed from his side, Katsuki slowly opened his eyes and made a grabbing motion toward his sister. Mitsuki chuckled and patted him on the head.
“In a moment, Katsu,” Mitsuki said before taking Akko over to the changing station that was in the room. As Mitsuki changed her diaper, Akko took in her features. If she wasn’t mistaken, she almost looked like Emma. Akko knew she had died, but her new infant body couldn’t quite handle all of her previous life’s memories, only choosing to let her see glimpses of her past loved ones. After her diaper change, Akko was placed back in the crib and Katsuki was taken next.
This was going to be exhausting.
Akko learned that she was born a little more than 100 years in the future. At least, she hoped it was the future. She hadn’t seen a single thing that mentioned Toman or any other gangs she was used to.
She was introduced to heroes and quirks when she was a year old. When first learning what a quirk was, Akko couldn’t help but try to think back to one of her friends from her old life. His name was Kawata Souya and he was nicknamed “Crying Blue Orge” due to his uncanny ability to become 100 times stronger than normal when he cried.
Was that a quirk? It was likely if she was even in the same universe.
The first hero she ever heard of, and took a liking to, was the pro-hero All Might. All Might was known as the Symbol of Peace, and no one knew his quirk or real name. He quickly rose in the ranks until he became Japan's number one hero.
Akko admired him for the smile he always kept on his face, no matter the situation. Her twin, however, admired him for his strength.
By the time she was three, Akko could walk and talk easily. While she walked beside her mother through the city, Akko spotted a store that sold jewellery. Sitting in the window was a pair of earrings that seemed familiar to her. Tugging on her mother’s hand to get her attention, Akko pointed toward the store.
“Mom!”
“Yes?” Mitsuki asked, turning to look at her daughter.
“I want those!” Akko replied, pointing towards the earrings with more force. Mitsuki hummed.
“Fine, but you have to wait until you’re older before we pierce your ears.” Mitsuki bargained. Akko nodded excitedly and the two entered the store. Mitsuki paid for the earrings and had them placed in a box. She took the bag from the cashier and the two left the store.
Another year passed, and Akko can be seen playing in a sandbox with Katsuki and his friends, Tsubasa, Izuku, and another male- whom she forgot the name of- playing nearby. That morning Katsuki had gotten his quirk and was showing it off.
Akko picked up a small rock and felt a strange sensation in her hand. Tossing the pebble into the air, Akko was surprised when it exploded. It wasn’t a large explosion, but it certainly gained her some attention.
“Whoa! Your quirk is like mine, nee-san!” Katsuki said in awe, approaching his older twin. She smiled at him with a nod.
“We’ll be the greatest heroes to ever exist!”
