Captain America/Iron Man- "The Paint's Supposed To Go Where?"
“The paint’s supposed to go where?”
Tony was holding an instructions sheet upside down. Steve sighed at him. They were both sitting on the floor of their new nursery.
“On the cot,” he reminded him. “You can put the instructions down.”
Tony scowled at the blueprint. “I can build a nuclear reactor with a broken laptop and a piece of string, but I can’t understand these instructions.”
Steve gave him a bemused look. “I’m sure we’ll figure it out.”
“I don’t see why we couldn’t have gotten this built by someone else.”
Steve leant over and pressed a quick kiss on Tony’s lips. “Because this way we’ve made Peter’s bedroom our own.” He tapped Tony’s nose with the new paintbrush. “Something we’ve made.”
Tony blinked at him then looked back at the instructions. “I hate when you get sappy,” he said as he organised the bits of plastic into piles. “Makes me feel all gooey inside.”
Steve smiled. “Must be a hardship for such an emotionless person as you.”
Tony stuck out his tongue. “I’m a man of the future,” he retorted.
“Good, then you can tell me where we’re supposed to start.”
