Charles Xavier/Erik Lehnsherr - "Have You Lost Your Damn Mind!?”
"Have you lost your damn mind!?” Charles glared up at him, ignoring the pang of insecurity that came with the knowledge that a handicapped professor probably wasn’t the most threatening image to a trained killer.
As expected, Erik stared back unfazed.
“You’re not going out on any more missions,” Charles said finally. “You’re a liability.”
“A liability,” Erik repeated coldly. His gaze pierced Charles, and Charles felt a flush of insecurity.
Charles steeled himself against it. “Erik,” he said in the calmest voice he could muster. “You’ve been acting erratic and reckless. What’s going on?”
Erik closed his eyes.
“Erik?” Charles prompted softly. Erik was wearing that damned helmet again. Charles couldn’t even get a sense from him. Like he was dead.
Erik opened his eyes and took a breath. “Fine.”
Charles blinked twice. “Fine?”
“Fine I’m off missions,” Erik snapped back, stepping around Charles, and storming out the door.
