Spider-Man/Deadpool - "I Almost Lost You"
“I almost lost you.”
Peter ran his hand over the scars on Wade’s scalp. “I know.”
They were sprawled out on their bed, naked, Wade’s head resting on Peter’s stomach.
Wade caught Peter’s hand. “I can’t lose you.”
Peter didn’t say anything, fingers still running over Wade’s scars.
“You can’t do this to me Peter.”
Peter sighed and sat up, pulling Wade into a seating position. “This is my job. Our job. You can’t protect me.”
Wade gave him puppy eyes. “I can’t….”
“I love you,” Peter told him. “But I’m a superhero.” He leant forward and kissed his forehead.
Wade rested his head against Peter’s shoulder. “Please.”
“Wade.”
“Please.” he said again. “Pleasepleasepleasepleaseplease.” He wasn’t sure what he was asking for.
Peter kissed him again. “I know,” he said softly.
