Spider-Man/Deadpool - "Please, Don’t Leave.”
"Please, don’t leave.”
Wade was sitting on his bed, watching the love of his life throwing his stuff into a bag.
Peter shot him a look over his shoulder. There was no love, no tenderness left in that look.
Wade brought his legs up under his chin, hugging them to his chest. “I didn’t-”
“You killed them, Wade!” Peter yelled at him, spinning around violently, tears forming in his eyes.
Wade stared dumbly back at him. “They were-”
“Civillians, innocents, teens!”
“They were incurable,” Wade protested softly.
“We didn’t know that! I could’ve… Tony, Reed, any of us, we could’ve-”
“And lose you?” Because that was the crux of it, right? He had to save Peter’s life, Peter was everything to him.
The irony was that in trying to keep him, he’d lost him.
[Was that right? Irony?]
<The word’s lost all meaning>
[Damn you Morissette]
<Shh the writer’s favourite song is Hands Clean.>
Wade didn’t even bother listening to their babble. He was too busy watching Peter rub away the tears and throw the last few items into his bag.
“Peter,” Wade whispered softly.
Peter looked at him again, and there was regret in his eyes.
“I’m sorry,” he said softly. Then he shook his head. “But who were we kidding?”
And then he walked out of the door. Out of Wade’s life.
