Charles Xavier/Erik Lehnsherr - "Have You Ever Wanted To Hate Someone?"
“Have you ever wanted to hate someone?”
Charles looked up from his book to the man at the end of his bed in surprise.
“Have I what?”
Erik frowned. “You can’t be all good and perfect,” Erik told him.
Charles smiled. “You think I’m perfect?” he asked, pleased.
Erik rolled his eyes. “Answer the question.”
“You want to know if I’ve ever wanted to hate someone. Someone like Shaw, perhaps?”
Erik nodded and slid onto the bed next to him. “That would be one example.”
Charles considered. “No.” He said finally. “I’d prefer not to hate, if possible.”
Erik’s frown deepened and he placed a hand on Charles’ leg.
It suddenly became clear to Charles.
“Not even you, darling,” Charles told him, leaning for a kiss.
Erik kissed him back.
“Never you,” Charles said softly.
