Mother almost glittered at Bianca’s words. I scowled when I saw her pleased face.

“Could you hurry it up? Time is of the essence.”

E: “Essence?”

“It means that time is of nature. It does not wait for anyone.”

Enid nodded her head.

B: “Addams have you gone soft?”

My immediate reaction was a knife to her neck, I held my knife at a close point even when she was holding two hands up in surrender.

G: “Wednesday, don’t get blood in my store. Its hard to clean.”

I sheathe my knife quickly and berated myself for pulling out my knife in front of Enid. When I turn to Enid, she was hiding behind mother’s back.

I was mentally cursing myself in Italian in my head.

“Enid.”

Enid’s head popped out from behind and she looks at me with fearful eyes.

E: “Y-yes?”

“I apologise for scaring. I did not mean to do so.”

Enid nods her head hesitantly. I held my hand just like every other day, knowing full well the omega would still grab on.

As expected she was quick to grab on, afraid that if she was discontent I would abandon her.

We left the store, with Bianca’s group right behind us and Yoko trying to get Enid to reply to her in more than a few words.

When we arrive, the moron of an artist, the stoned snake and the useless twin were there waiting. The moron walked up to me and tried to kiss me.

“Get off!”

I told him just as I kick him right in the right shin. Honestly, having to control me from pulling out my knife was difficult.

X: “Oh, come on Wednesday, you’re going to be my mate in the future anyway. One kiss wouldn’t hurt.”

E: “M-mi-miss Wed…nes…day?”

I quickly turn to Enid who was shaking from the bastard’s words.

“No, no, Enid, I am not going to be his mate, I am already yours.”

There was already tears gathering at her tear glands, if I don’t fix this she-

She started crying like a child. I scrunch my face when I heard the wailing of Enid, as much as I would enjoy it when someone is in pain, I wouldn’t want my paramour to be the one feeling upset.

I sighed before moving forward and I started to caress her head, and all Murray did was watch her cry, useless fuck of an alpha.

“Shh, come now, stop this wailing. I promise you, you are the only mate I have, Enid.”

Everyone watched in shock as I comforted the girl. I swiftly picked her up and allowed her to lay her head on my shoulder.

E: “Mi-miss Wedn-Wednesday won’t abandon Enid?”

Why is it that she speaks in full grammar when she is afraid of being abandoned?

“I won’t, I promise I’ll stay by your side.”

M: “Mister Thrope, I would like to warn you not to put your hands on my daughter again.”

Mother had stepped in to take their attention away from us as I comforted Enid.

X: “B-b-but Wednesday was supposed to be my mate…”

Thrope had almost stuttered out his sentence.

“I never agreed to being your mate, Thrope. I told you I had no interest in you before and still don’t.”

X: “But you were giving me all these signals!”

Y: “Xavier!”

Tanaka suddenly stepped in. She glared at him and even behind the Vampire’s glasses, we could still see the red eyes that shows her legacy.

Y: “I believe she said no. Do not harass her.”

X: “Ri-right, sorry.”

Thrope looked at the ground while mother smiles at Tanaka.

M: “You never lost your edge, Yoko.”

Y: “How rare of you to call me by my name, Morticia, considering we’ve been friends since we were born.”

D: “Babe.”

Tanaka turns to her alpha with heart-shaped eyes, that I’ve seen father give mother.

“Guess you will still be a pet for your lover.”

Y: “Darling, I will be whatever she wants as long as she is mine.”

The useful twin lets out a laugh while the useless one stuck his tongue out in disgust.

K: “Gross. Just bite her already.”

Y: “No can do.”

I had already taken my usual place on the sofa bed. I gently cradled Enid even as she held my hand and listen to the conversation.

Suddenly Enid’s stomach grumbled in hunger and everyone looked at her. She hid her face in my coat as her ears turn bright red with shame.

I patted her head, whispering softly in her ears.

“Worry not, cara mia. Everyone’s is the same.”

M: “Now then, let’s all sit down. I’ll have the chefs cook up a feast as always.”

This time Thrope was smart enough to sit beside Petropolus, who patted him on his back as to console him.

Y: “So Addams, how did you meet this lovely pup.”

“She was a gift from the Sinclair pack.”

B: “Sinclair?”

Eg: “Isn’t that the pack that only births alphas. Something about how all the omegas born all die before they are born or they are stillbirth.”

“Right you are Eugene. She survived.”

I noticed Enid had fallen asleep, how tired is she to keep falling asleep unexpectedly?

“She received much mistreatment that makes me want to tear them apart.”

X: “Such as?”

“She was force to clean the house since she could walk.”

I eyed the adult alpha sitting right opposite of me.

“She learn to speak by listening to those around her, she slept in a basket until they moved her into a metal cage, she was never allowed to play with any toys until yesterday and she was deprive of any rights to be relaxed.”

I saw how the Barclay grip on the table tightened with each passing word.

“She was used as a sex slave the moment she started bleeding, she’s only given mouldy bread or water once every few full moons. What else have I forgotten? Ah, yes, everyone meet Murray Sinclair.”

Everyone turned to him and I almost let out a sinister laugh. Murray shifted uncomfortably.

“I brought him back while fishing last night. I also caught a newborn fish and a woman who threw Enid away.”

I look at Enid with worried eyes when I hear the whimpers from her.

“Yes, I remember she was also kicked, slapped, whipped, punched and even thrown when she didn’t do something right. Tell me, how shall I punish them?”

Barclay looks at me, I saw how her scales appear despite the lack of water near her.

B: “Can I join you?”

“Must you ask such oblivious questions?”

B: “Good.”

Enid started shifting and she grabs her ears whimpering.

“Enid, shh, its alright.”

Tanaka smirks at me, and mother appeared just in time as the dagger I threw in her direction was about to hit it’s target, only to be caught.

M: “Now, now dear, I do not want to explain to officer Galpin why there is Vampire’s blood on my chair.”

I groan out.

“Yes mother.”

M: “Hand me Enid.”

I pass Enid to mother who begins to let out a calming pheromones. Enid soon calmed down and mother handed her right back to me.

M: “Your brother used to do try and burn the house down because of all the horrible dreams you caused him.”

“He is a wimp, mother.”

Enid grip on the soft toy had relaxed a little, I decided it was high time I woke her up.

“Enid, wake up. Food is almost ready.”

Enid whimpered but her eyes didn’t open.

“Enid, come now you wouldn’t want to miss all the delightful food mother has prepared now would you?”

This time the omega’s eyes fluttered open. She looks up at me before shamefully hiding her face in her toys.

E: “Food?”

“Yes they are waiting. How about you tell everyone what you and mother did today.”

E: “Pet store, kitty.”

I arch an eyebrow up, mother despises going near that store. I turn to mother.

M: “She wanted to see the animals. Colour me shock when she wanted to go into the store.”

Y: “Morticia Frump Addams at a pet store, now I would pay real money to see that.”

“What else did you do today?”

E: “Clothes…blankie, saw miss Wednesday.”

“I see. You didn’t have much time. Later we may return to the pet store.”

E: “Kitty.”

“Yes, it seems you are bedevilled by these newborn cats.”

E: “Keep?”

“No.”

E: “Okay.”

T: “Oh come on Wednesday what’s wrong with her owning a cat.”

“She was just freed from slavery and you want her to return to being one for the animal.”

B: “When did you say her birthday was?”

“I do not know. Ask him.”

I nudge my head towards the Sinclair alpha.

Mu: “April 2.”

B: “It’s tomorrow!”

T: “Babe?”

I see Tanaka smiling to her girlfriend.

D: “Fine.”

The siren twin pulls out a credit card and the vampire grabs it before dashing out the door. About 10 minutes passed before the vampire returned with a box.

Y: “Enid, come here.”

Enid looks at me and I sigh knowing what it is.

“Go on, you have permission.”

Tanaka puts the box in Enid’s hands, we could all here the call of the kitten(s) from the box. When Enid opens the box, I see a black Bombay cat as well as a Munchkin cat. Well, I suppose the more precise word is kittens.

Enid’s eyes shines with delight, mother smiles at Enid’s reaction.

T: “One male, one female and a whole future of kittens.”
