The past and Kidnapping
No one’s POV
She was running trying to hold onto her mother. She never wanted to be a disappointment, she wanted to make her mother proud.
She clean the house, washed every piece of clothing that was thrown at her, and even took all the insults that were said directly at her without making a mess.
But Esther Sinclair never looked at her like her own. Everyone looked at her with disgust, the only one who cared for her for a short period of time was Murray Sinclair.
Even then, when he interacted with her, she would still be punished for talking to him.
So he chose to stop talking to her; he stopped asking if she was feeling tired if had she eaten and when was the last time she slept.
She tried to hold onto him, but every time after being caught he would turn away from her the moment he saw her.
She wanted to cry out, telling him to not leave her, to not stop being nice to her. She wanted to hold onto her father and tell him she was his daughter.
She knew that sometimes when she fell sick, he was the one who left medicine when the guards weren’t looking.
She remembers the time she was locked in the cage and was sick.
Enid’s Flashback
Enid was seven at the time. But she didn’t know.
“Cough…cough…”
G1: “Oh shut up! Stop acting like your sick! No one will ever care!”
Enid looked away from him as she tried to stop her coughing. Her throat hurt for some reason, she didn’t know what it meant.
“S-so-sorry…”
Since she was douse in cold water and it was freezing that very same night, her body was trembling.
“Ca-can’t E-enid ha-have bl-bla-blankie?”
G1: “Huh? Why the hell do you even need one? You’re an omega! You don’t deserve such privileges!”
Enid flinches at the word omega. She didn’t know what it meant, she just knew it was a bad word for her.
“B-bu-but Enid…c-cold…”
G2: “Oh! For the love of Selene! SHUT UP!”
The second guard shouts and kicks Enid in the stomach. Enid gravels in pain and whimpers quietly from the pain.
“Ye-yes, si-sir.”
For the rest of the night, she kept quiet hugging her stomach. Until she saw Murray Sinclair.
Mu: “Leave us.”
The guards got up and left the room, closing the door behind them.
“Ma-master…di-did E-enid do th-thing w-wrong again?”
Mu: “No. I just wanted to check on you…”
Enid was already quivering in the corner of her cage. As much as she wanted to be sure of his words, she dare not leave the area that protected her from more beatings.
Mu: “Come here.”
Murray had ordered. Enid instinctively moved to him, she was trembling.
Mu: “Lift up your shirt.”
Enid lift it up where anyone could see the bruises forming or had already formed on her stomach.
Murray grimaces at the sight of the bruises.
Mu: “I’m only going to show you once, there won’t be a next time.”
He pulled out a small medical box and cleaned Enid’s wounds before applying some medication to the wounds. Once he was done, he places the box in front of Enid and got up to leave.
“T-thank you…”
He heard in the softest of whispers, if not for his heightened wolf senses he would never have heard it.
Enid stared at the man who helped her, she wanted to hug him and wanted to say she loved him as she heard the other pups tell their sire.
The man doesn’t turn back to look at Enid, simply locked the cage that Enid was in.
Enid had laid back on the cold metal and looked out the small window and stare at the moon. She heard the other pups call it a moon, her mother had told the other pups that’s where Selene resided.
She closed her eyes and slept dreaming of hugging her sire.
The next morning she was woken up by her mother stepping on her head.
Es: “WHICH PART OF NOT GOING NEAR MURRAY DID YOU NOT UNDERSTAND?!!”
She then proceeds to kick Enid in the stomach, the bruises from the night before were already there and from many fortnights ago.
Yet her mother never took pity on her, simply took out whatever she had on Enid.
“E-enid didn’t…sorry…sorry…sorry.”
Enid wanted to cry, but that meant more punishment. She heldback a sob as Esther stepped on her leg, putting her whole weight on it.
Hard enough to cause bruising but not enough to break it.
Es: “Last time I’m ever warning you. The next time you talk to Murray, you won’t have any mercy. IS. THAT. UNDERSTOOD?”
“Y-yes, mis-mistress…”
Es: “Now get up and go clean the house. The pups dragged in mud.”
Esther says and walks away. Knowing full well Enid would rush to do as ordered.
Indeed, Enid had rushed out of the cage and into the hall with a bucket of water and an old cloth in hand.
She saw the entire hall was covered with mud and dirt. Enid didn’t know which was which, she took guesses trying to figure it out.
She saw a pup staring at her while she was cleaning. The pup went up to ask her.
P1: “Why are you cleaning the floor?”
Enid didn’t know to answer him, she feared if she didn’t, the pup would tell her mistress and she would be punished.
“It’s Enid’s job.”
Enid then heard Esther calling out a name.
Es: “Reius! Reius where are you?”
The pup giggled and Enid looked at him.
R: “Shh, I’m not here. We’re playing hide and seek.”
Enid nods her head.
R: “Won’t you play with me?”
E: “Enid has not finish cleaning…”
R: “Come on. Or I’ll tell my sire.”
E: “Please don’t!”
Es: “I found you.”
R: “AH. No fair…”
The pup named Reius had whined out as Esther picked him up and clean her shoes on the floor where Enid had just cleaned.
R: “Again! Again!”
The pup had laughed out. Enid looked at the ground, she couldn’t get the fact he got to play and she didn’t.
R: “Who is she?”
Es: “A slave.”
R: “Hmm…she’s the one sire told me about, the disappointment.”
Es: “Yes.”
Enid flinches, she quickly got back to cleaning as Esther carried the boy away. Murray had wanted to rush to Enid.
Enid noticed him but didn’t say anything.
Wednesday’s POV (End of flashback)
Enid was sent back with mother to my room, I sat on the sofa with Pugsley explaining the plan while father left to put Pubert to bed.
Aunt Larissa listen but only inserted herself when she noticed a flaw in the plan. Until mother rang the intercom right before we left, I noticed her tone.
Something must have happened.
I contacted the Regul pack, letting an old friend know of my plans, and he happily accepted.
Wasn’t hard considering he had a crush on me. He didn’t even ask me why I was doing it just that I would join him.
Fool of an alpha. They were only raiding Sinclair’s storehouses, not killing the other alphas, however, they were the distraction.
Pugsley and I were the main attraction of the night. Bringing Esther back wouldn’t be hard, perhaps I should bring Murray back too and a pup.
We had left the house, two bags in hand and one sword claps to my waist.
When we reached the meeting point, the next heir to the Regul pack ran up to try and hug me only to fall into the mud.
“Joel.”
J: “Wednesday! C’mon let me hug you!”
“I have a fiancee, Joel.”
Joel stared at me with wide eyes.
J: “W-who?”
“Enid Anyssa Addams. As you heard she has already taken on my last name.”
J: “I-I…see. Well, congratulations.”
“Thank you.”
RP: “Sir Joel! The head alpha says its time to moveout.”
J: “Alright, good luck.”
“You too.”
Pugsley followed me as we moved into the house as the alphas of the Sinclair clan rushed to the warehouse to protect their rations.
Lucky for us, Esther Sinclar and Murray Sinclair didn’t leave the clan. With them was another pup, a female one. Pugsley forced an anaesthetics into the two werewolves’ veins.
Sadly, we practised enough on each other to not wake the two werewolves up. Once we were sure they would not wake up for at least the next eight hours, Pugsley dragged the two put to our hideout and I grab the pup.
Escaping without even being seen. Leaving only one letter for ransom.
Once we got to the hideout, Lurch was ready to meet us there. He picked up both adult werewolves and tied them up.
The pup was left in the hands of Pugsley.
When we got back to the manor the moon was high above our heads, it was around 3 am in the morning.
Lurch dragged the two Sinclairs into the basement where they tied and left there until the Addams clan woke up.
I returned to my room where Enid was asleep in my bed and mother sat in a straight posture.
“We have returned, mother.”
M: “Welcome home, my little raincloud.”
“How has she been doing?”
M: “Terrible and not in a good way, she would wake up every hour and ask if I needed anything or if she had to clean anything.”
“It will take time, and we have time. There is nothing to worry about.”
Mother nodded her head, and I noticed how exhausted she looked.
“High time you returned to your room, mother, you know father doesn’t sleep well without you at his side.”
Mother gives me a ghastly smile before getting up and a hand above my shoulder but not touching and a kiss to the forehead without contact.
M: “Terrible night, my dear.”
“Terrible night to you as well, mother. Do give father my terrible night.”
Mother nodded before disappearing behind my door.
