Adelaide
I'm sooo excited, do you know why? It's because the best girlfriend in the whole wide world is going on a date with me after my shift.
I was so excited that my tentacles were wrestles my entire shift which led to me constantly making mistakes.
I wished that time would move faster as I took each customer's order at the window.
It reminded me a little bit of how me and Kervana met.
Flashback
I was really worn out because of course it had to be a Friday. My coworkers were being lazy as usual and left me alone at the winow.
I was getting even more fed up due to an old lady at the window screaming at me last shift.
It was almost a relief to hear someone on the younger side on the line. They seemed a tad out of it but who isn't on a Friday.
"Can I please get a uhhh number 13 with some ketchup? Do you have any vegetarian options for my friend Earling?" I must admit that, that calm voice soothed me and was a blessing compared to my usual customers.
"We have a fruit salad and more." I said back to them. I truly loved the smoothies that I got with my employee's discount.
"Okay, we'll have one of those, two large Cherry Pepsis, one large strawberry smoothie, and one number 4 with extra fries please?" God, no overwhelming adjustments for once. Thank God!
"Who is this order for?" I just finished putting down the order.
"Kervana." What an interesting name to match a savory smooth voice. I could just drown in how calm it sounds.
"That'll be the second window." I rushed to the second window. I was way too excited for this. I just really wanted to see whoever was on the other end up close.
"Order for Kervana." I saw a very colorful and glittery car that made me wish that I rode around in it.
The one that rolled the window down was a very bright and colorful mushroom who I had assumed to be this supposed Kervana.
The smell of marijuana hit my senses instantly as I saw that the back car seem to be filled with antique trinkets. They were all kinds of different shapes and sizes.
I decided right then and there to sneakily hide my phone number in the bag. I just had to see her and feel her calm vibe again. She made me feel high without taking anything.
"Thank you, Ad." The mushroom said as they payed and grabbed the food. I think that she made the nickname from my employee badge.
I had covered them all in glitter in the beginning of the month but only the first a and d survived with even a little shine on them.
It just really made me blush.
I didn't think that she'd call because I was a complete stranger but she did! I didn't know what to say!
"Hey, you're the cutie from the drive thru, right?" Oh God, she called me cute! I was fidgeting with my tentacles more by just hearing that.
"Y-yeah, that's me." Why did I stutter?! She must think that I'm such an idiot!
"I was wondering if you'd like to go on a date to y'know, let us get to know each other more?" Is this really happening? I must be dreaming!
"Yeah, let's, let's do it!" I couldn't believe that I had the courage to say yes.
"Great, I'll text you the details, goodbye hottie." Aaaaaaa! I couldn't believe that I got a date with her!
Now
It had became the end of my shift and I had clocked out so fast that my coworkers must have thought that it was an emergency.
I rushed to get into my car and drove home. I'm surprised that I didn't get pulled over with how jittery I was. One would assume that I'm on something.
I had to pick out the perfect outfit.
I was busy shuffling through my endless amount of clothes and accessories before deciding on a glittery red bow, a black casual dress, and a lot of chunky bracelets.
Just in time too as I heard the rumbling of a car outside and received a text on my phone.
'Here' It read and it just made me more nervous.
I recognized the smell of weed and colorful car as soon as I left my apartment. She was so pretty with practically no effort. All she had added to her usual look was a bracelet wrapping around the bottom of her cap.
"Hello, sorry if my car is a bit dirty. I had friends who made a slight mess." She sounded a lot less confident now than she was over the phone. I think that it was because we were talking in person instead of over the phone. It was easy to flirt with someone while not directly talking to them.
Kervana
I think that the glitter hiding around her form probably made her more hot than other people. I was really nervous since it was in person and not over the phone. I had completely forgotten all the pick up lines that I had practiced.
"Hello, sorry if my car is a bit dirty. I had friends who made a slight mess." That was a lie, my friends were very respectful of my car and always insisted on cleaning up whatever mess they made. The mess was made by me during last times session. I don't even remember how I made the mess due to me being so high.
It was too quiet in the car as we drove off. I tried to not look over to her cute purple figure as I drove down the road. We were going to go get smoothies, do some thrifting, and watch the sun set before smoking some Mary Jane. It was going to be the perfect evening.
We went to Smoothie King and I grabbed the largest size of a Gladiator Strawberry. Ad picked a large King Cake Gladiator. She was reaching to pay while they were making our smoothies before I stopped her.
"I'll pay. I don't want you to have to pay when I was the one who invited you out." She seemed really flustered and I thought that it was adorable.
"Okay... If you insist. Thank you soo much, I know that it's not cheap." Aww, she shouldn't worry her precious little head. I was here to spoil her.
I ordered as they finished right up. It was extra tasty because I knew that I had someone to share the experience with.
We then went to Ricky's Extravagant Thrift Shop. It was just a few minutes away from the Smoothie King and he allowed customers to bring in drinks and snacks as long as they were responsible with them.
"Are you sure that this is okay?" Ad asked as we were about to walk into the store. I think that she was nervous because she'd never been to Ricky's before.
"Don't worry, I know that it's fine because I've been here multiple times." This was my favorite place to find trinkets like old movie promotions or fancy jackets.
I greeted Ricky as we walked in. He was a frat bro that inherited the shop from his father. He was pretty chill compared to the last owner.
I could tell that Ad was shocked by how casual this place was after we walked past a mom and her two children munching on chips while looking through clothes on the rack.
We had decided to go see what they had for VHS tapes since I had one of the older TVs hooked up in the back of my van. It would be perfect to smoke and watch a movie together.
I was scrolling through the 50 cent movies until I found one that I thought would be perfect. Osmosis Jones.
Apparently Ad had never seen it before and was wondering what it was about.
"It's about a white blood cell and a pill hunting down a deadly virus."
"Oh, that's cool. I can't wait to watch it with you."
We then began to look through the old CDs. I had a lot of them in the glovebox in my van. They truly had some good tones but I was looking for something on the more funky side.
I then found some ABBA and decided to get it for later.
With that we were almost done with our smoothies and we walked to the check out aisle.
I had heard Adelaide constantly talk about fashion and had to comment.
"Y'know, you seem to know a lot about fashion. You should really go into that industry. Maybe a fashion boutique." She laughed me off but I could tell that she was seriously considering it.
She really should do it. She has such good taste and has a great feel that makes you feel comfortable to ask questions.
I again paid despite Ad's rebuttals and pleads. She was so cute and she deserved to get spoiled.
We then left and began to drive towards the cliff side. It was the best place to watch the sunset and the stars were beautiful when they came out.
I had some joints pre rolled before we went up since I thought that I'd be too nervous to do it in front of her.
We finally arrived after passing through some foil age. It was the perfect hidden spot and was where I rolled my first joint.
"We're here." I said as we parked and we moved to the back. I opened my back doors so that we could sit down and stare at the fading light.
It overlooked the dark blue ocean and a little bay town nearby. The lights down there would turn on as soon as the sun came down that would give us the finale of the extravagant show.
"It's so beautiful." She blissfully announced as she looked amazed and excited to watch. I knew that she'd love it.
"I know, right!" I excitedly proclaimed.
The sun had begun to touch the water and in a few moments it had begun to change colors like a kaleidoscope. The sun then disappeared like a magic trick and left the sky completely dark.
"Wooowww" I heard Ad exclaim.
Then one by one like little fireflies, all the town lights slowly turned on to take their turn in illuminating the night.
It made me wonder how many people lived in the small town and what their lives must have been like. Did they have dogs? What industry did they work in? Who were they?
I then closes the door as we turned around and began to set up for the movie. I reached for my storage to bring out some skittles and gummy sharks. The glove compartment had some joints in a little zip lock bag that I pulled out and sat next to me before grabbing a lighter from next to me.
I opened the case for Osmosis Jones, turned the TV on, and put it in with the little click. Ad slowly leaning into me as the movie started with the nice music. She began to snack on the skittles as I pulled out a joint and lit it.
I offered her a smoke but she refused and said that she'd do it later.
Adelaide
The movie was really fun to watch. It was weird to imagine all these cells in the average body. I loved the smell of the weed and the taste of the skittles. The feeling of sitting on the back of the car with Kervana felt lively.
Halfway through the movie we turned to each other. Her eyes drew me in as we slowly leaning into each other.
The taste of weed on my lips as she kissed me was truly hot. I felt so overwhelming and sickly sweet. I felt like my soul had burst into flames and my skin was clutching a warm pillow. I would be sure to be the one with smoke in my mouth later.
This was truly the best date ever.
