Summary
This story continues with the life and love of Bruce Banner and Genevieve Gibbs. They are still trying to figure out everything about the other-like every other normal relationship. But what happens with life, drama, old enemies, old loves, new family, friends and a few VERY unexpected occurrences happen. What will they do?**This story begins in the last season and by the end of the story it will be with the current season of all three NCIS shows*****This is a sequel to It's a Small World--it COULD be a stand alone if need be-but the connections and relationships might be confusing *****I don't own any Marvel or NCIS character. I only own Genevieve Gibbs and a few others that will come up in later chapters.***  ***As always I will probably have grammatical or spelling errors (I do proofread-it just might not seem like it!! ❤️
Note
This is a slow beginning I know--building up to it I promise!*one original character is in the chapter-but nowhere else so I didn't feel the need to tag him.I am tickled about S.U.G.A.R.S (State University Gamma and Radiation Seminar) I swear it came out of my head. If there truly IS a SUGARS I apologize!AMA is Against Medical Advice

“Banner” Thor called as the man walked toward the elevators.

“Yes Thor?” Bruce replied turning and seeing the man hurrying toward him.

“Has your friend left already?” Thor asked, glancing around.

“Yes Tony had to meet his dad” Bruce replied.

“Oh I am sorry to hear that. Lady Genevieve left this” Thor said as he handed Bruce a page with names written on it.

“What is it?” Bruce asked as he glanced at the names.

“I believe she was writing down names for the children” Thor said with a smile.

“Names for the children” Bruce parroted back.

Thor chuckled “Yes Banner-your children do need names don’t you agree?” he teased.

Bruce blinked dumbly at the page then looked back up at the god “no-of course they do” he said. “I just didn’t realize she was making a list” he admitted.

Thor looked uncomfortable for a second “Well perhaps she didn’t mean for you to see this” he mumbled. “Perhaps you should talk to her” he added.

Bruce smiled “I think I will Thor-thank you” he said as he stepped into the elevator.

“You are welcome my friend” Thor replied as the doors shut.

Hetty looked at her phone when she noticed she missed a text

GG: Pepper’s replaced me for now with everything going on. We need to talk

Hetty sighed but hit redial waiting for Jen to pick up.

“Hello Hetty” Jen said.

“How are you feeling?” Hetty asked.

Jen sighed “not good today” she admitted.

“Are you resting?” Hetty replied earning a snort from Jen.

“Yes Hetty I am resting. DiNozzo was here introducing us to his daughter” Jen replied.

Hetty paused “I didn’t realize Agent DiNozzo had a daughter” she said.

“He just found out” Jen said.

Hetty nodded “So has Miss. Potts has replaced you permanently?” she asked.

Jen chuckled “I don’t think so but that’s why I wanted to talk to you. I know the job isn’t done-but are you sure I am still the right choice for this?” she asked.

Hetty sighed “Owen and I were just talking about this. I don’t want to pull you -you are the closest to it-but maybe we do need to try a different angle” she proposed.

“Different Angle? Hetty I am getting big and pretty soon there won’t be another angle to do—I’ll be too huge” Jen said.

“You want me to pull you?” Hetty asked.

Jen sighed “No one wants him put away more than me. But Gibbs reminded me that I have to change my priorities now. I keep putting myself and them in danger by working too much” Jen said.

Hetty sighed “You are right of course. Maybe I’ll send Sam and Mr. Callen to you and see what they can find” she commented.

“Is G back from that secret mission?” Jen asked.

Hetty chuckled “They landed last night” she replied. “Let me talk it over with everyone here and they I’ll call you” she replied.

“You know I’ll help in any way I can” Jen said.

“I know you will” Hetty replied.

The sound of Bruce walking in diverted Jen’s attention. She smiled at him and continued “I have to go-Bye Hetty” she said and hung up before the women could say anything else.

Bruce chuckled “Okay it bothers me when you hang up with her the second I walk into the room” he said.

Jen laughed “It’s nothing really. I told her I think I should be pulled from this job” she replied.

Bruce stopped “I assume you mean Hetty?” he asked.

Jen shrugged as she nodded “I don’t want to be—but I keep putting myself in danger. Normally that wouldn’t be a problem. But now-everything different” she said.

Bruce sighed as he sat down and pulled her feet into his lap “Just because Gibbs yelled at you-don’t change because of him” he said.

Jen snorted “Oh please” she said. “That man hasn’t influenced any decision of mine since I was a kid” she added. Then she cocked an eye at him “I would have thought you’d be happy?” she said.

“I am happy when you are happy” he replied.

Jen rolled her eyes at him “seriously?” she laughed. “If mommas happy everyone’s happy doesn’t seem your style” she added.

Bruce scrunched his nose in mild disgust “I hope I never call you momma” was the first thing out of his mouth. Then he shook his head clearing his throat and continued “I am serious hon. has it changed so much.” Bruce asked.

“Have you hit your head recently?” Jen asked in amusement. “Do you NOT remember everything that has happened in the last year” she added.

“And can you honestly tell me that wouldn’t have happened if you weren’t pregnant?” he replied.

Jen sighed “But Pretty soon I am not going to be able to kick anyone’s ass-I’ll be too big” she replied.

Bruce snorted “I didn’t realize that was part of your job description?” he teased.

Jen nodded “yep it is-need to look at the fine print” she said.

Bruce burst out laughing, making Jen start laughing as well.

“So what are you going to do-stop working all together?” Bruce asked.

Jen shrugged “I don’t know” she admitted.

“The truth of the matter we will have people coming after us regardless. I would love you to have extra back up in case you need it” Bruce said.

Jen gave him an incredulous look “I live in Stark Tower, among the Avengers-and sleep with-well I don’t sleep WITH the Hulk but-you know –anyway” Jen stopped for a second. “Even with all this-you think I need more protection?” she asked.

“The Army backs Rhodey up when the iron patriot helps us on missions” Bruce supplied.

“And if he was no longer in service Tony would always back him up” Jen replied back.

Bruce sighed “Okay let’s go at it from this angle. You would miss it. And it would drive you nuts. And then you would drive the rest of us nuts in the process” he commented.

Jen barked out a laugh “So you want me to keep working because otherwise I would annoy you?” she laughed.

Bruce eyes widened “God it sounds horrible when you say it like that. No All I mean is wait a little before you make a career change okay? Please” he bargained.

“I’ll think about it” Jen decided.

Bruce smiled “That’s all I ask” he replied.

Jen stretched to get more comfortable on the couch. “This is nice” she sighed.

Bruce smiled “Let me make us a nice dinner and we can have a night to ourselves” he said.

Jen smiled “Like a date night? That sounds great” she said.

Jen looked pensive making Bruce ask “What?”

“Do you think we will have 4 kids?” she asked.

Bruce blinked at the switch of topic but with all of his years in the labs with Tony-he was used to it.

“I don’t know” he admitted honestly. “It does terrify me-but since I never expected one I will be happy with any amount”

“Famous last words” she mumbled with a smile.

Bruce chuckled “Probably true” he admitted.

Jen sighed “ok maybe we should start thinking of names?” she said.

Bruce smirked reaching into his pocket for the paper Thor gave him “Haven’t you’ve already started?” he teased.

Jen frowned at him then laughed when she realized what Bruce had “Damn I forgot I left that in there” she admitted.

Bruce smiled “Thor caught me outside” he paused for a minute. “Can I read them?” he asked.

Jen blinked at him “You didn’t read it when Thor gave it to you?” she replied in surprise.

Bruce shook his head “I saw they were names but didn’t go further” he admitted.

Jen smiled “Sure you can read it” she said.

Bruce smiled and began scanning the paper.

“Michael, Anthony, Jackson-Good so far” Bruce began with a teasing smile. “Kelly, Rebecca, Margaret, Shannon” Bruce stopped and wiped a tear away.

“There’s more on the back” Jen said.

“More?” Bruce chuckled and turned it over. “Lange, Clinton, Walters, Gibbs,-honey are you trying to tell me something?” he laughed.

“You said you didn’t care how many we had” she teased.

“Okay I might care if you deliver 11 kids” Bruce said.

Jen laughed “God there better not be 11 kids in here-although I look like I blew up overnight right” she said jostling her stomach then froze.

“What’s wrong?” Bruce asked.

“I think they moved” Jen whispered.

Bruce immediately placed his hands on either side of her hands and waited. He only had to wait seconds before he felt the slight pressure and frowned. “You are not even four months, the books say new mothers generally don’t feel the baby kick between 16-24 weeks” he said.

Jen smirked “Reading about new mothers are you?” she teased.

Bruce blushed “I may or may not have had some audiobooks going in the labs” he admitted.

Jen grabbed his head pulling him to her and kissed him hard.

Bruce gasped but relaxed, spreading his hands further around her stomach, pulling away giggling.

“They are kicking more-like hey stop that” he said in wonder.

Jen laughed “It's starting already” she laughed.

Bruce leaned down and kissed her stomach “Hello in there-it’s your dad” he said.

Jen sniffed wiping at her eyes “It’s just became real to you huh?” she asked.

Bruce had a peaceful smile on his face “yeah” he whispered.

“You really are happy aren’t you” Jen replied softly.

Bruce looked up at her “Probably for the first time in my life” he replied.

Jen sighed and allowed Bruce to gather her in his arms and they just laid there, enjoying this rare moment of calm in their lives.
