fusion free time
“That will be all!” clapped yellow diamond, dismissing her pearl from the room.
Yellow pearl nodded and walked out of her diamonds chamber, closing the door behind her. Reminding herself to come back in a few hours to assist her diamond in her next meeting.
But right now? She was free to roam.
Pearls didn't always need to stay by their owner's side, they were allowed to go off and mingle whenever there would be free time, but being the pearl of a diamond, that didn't allow for a lot of free time.
Yellow pearl walked through the corridors, the eyes on the wall watching her every move as she stepped, but she eventually made her way to the central garden.
The central garden was beautiful, it had flowers of all colours, vines crawling up the wall’s, marble and stone pillars, a glass ceiling overlooking deep space.
It was beautiful.
“Yellow?” blue pearl whispered, she was sitting on the ground, her digital drawing pad hovering in front of her face.
“Blue! Your getting a break too?” asked yellow pearl as she walked over and sat down next to blue pearl, looking over her shoulder to get a better view at what she was drawing.
Blue pearl nodded, drawing another line on the screen. “Mhm. she wanted to be left alone, so she dismissed me.”
“Yeah, my diamond just wanted me out i think.” yellow stated, unsure of herself.
Blue pearl didnt say anything, she just nodded and went back to drawing.
Yellow watched her, watched as her fingers gracefully moved across the screen, the lines coming together to make a very beautiful flower image.
“Woah! That looks wonderful.” yellow told blue, her voice slightly gasping.
“You think?” asked blue, wanting clarification as she signed “BP” at the bottom of the drawing.
Yellow pearl nodded eagerly. “Yeah! I mean obviously you could never show anyone else these drawings but they look pretty neat!” she said, trying to cover up how impressed she was at blue’s art skills.
Blue pearl smiled, a light blush feining upon her cheeks. “Thank you…its nothing much, also.. I wanted to show you something..” blue pearl said quietly, her voice a wispy sound.
Blue pearl pulled the screen closer to her, swiping left until she found what she was looking for, and handing the screen over to yellow.
Yellow took the screen in her hands, staring at the image before her. It was a drawing of her, but different…in this drawing, yellow looked strong, independent, capable. All the things she wasnt, she was a pearl. Her feelings were irrelevant.
“Do you like it?” blue whispered, a nervous heat traveling through her body.
Yellow stared at the picture a bit longer, enthralled with how detailed and beautiful it was, and a drawing of her nonetheless!
“Oh my stars…i love it.” yellow replied quietly, still in awe over the drawing.
Blue smiled a bit wider, giggling slightly at yellows reaction. “Hehe, im glad you like it..i have other drawings of you y’know..”
This time yellow pearl actually did gasp, her own blush starting to form. “Waitwait really-? Can-, can i see?” she asked, moving closer to blue so she could rest her chin on her shoulder.
Blue nodded and continued swiping, eventually bringing up a folder that was nothing but a compilation of drawings of yellow.
Yellow pearl looked at each and every drawing carefully, amazed at how much detail blue was able to fit into a single drawing.
“Where do you even find the time to make those?” she asked, handing the screen back over to blue who promptly made it disappear back into her gem.
“My diamond allows me draw during court proceedings, or whenever i have free time really.” she said, leaning into yellow more.
“Theyre incredible…” yellow said back to her, lightly wrapping her arms around the blue gem in front of her, bringing her into her lap.
Blue pearl now had a rather decent blush on her face, but so did yellow. For now the two were evenly matched.
Yellow moved the two of them so she could lean against the wall, blue staying content in yellows lap.
They stayed silent for awhile, watching as the stars twinkled and as ships came in and out, assumingly going on missions to other planets.
Yellow and blue…felt things for eachother, felt things that they werent supposed to feel. Pearls werent supposed to feel for other gems, werent supposed to want things in the way other gems wanted.
But blue? She wanted nothing more than to leave homeworld, wanted nothing more than to runaway, wanted nothing more than to abaondon this life, and even worse? She wanted yellow to come with her.
She wanted yellow to be with her, she didnt want to leave yellows side. So strong and capable, things that she wasnt, things that she couldnt be.
Yellow also had the same familiar longing, who wanted nothing more than to stay with and keep blue safe, wanted nothing more than to be at her side until the end of time.
However, the two both had duties, and jobs that they had to abide by, and they hated it.
But just because there were rules in place, and just because they had to follow their diamonds every command, didnt mean that they couldnt be together when they were alone.
“Yellow?” blue asked quietly, yellows fingers playing with her hair.
“Yeah blue?” yellow asked, tightening her legs around blue’s torso.
Blue thought about what she was going to ask, before taking a deep breath and popping the question. “Would you like to fuse with me?” she asked.
Yellow opened her mouth to speak, but was too stunned to do so. Fusion of different courts has been banned on homeworld for eons, ever since pinks shattering the diamonds outlawed it.
“F-fusion? Blue, your aware that fusion, let alone between two gems of different courts, is strictly outlawed. You know that, right?” yellow asked nervously, scared to even be talking about it let alone doing the actual act.
“I- i know, i just…i miss you..” blue whispered, her eyes slightly watering beneath her hair.
Yellow stared at her, she could always tell how blue was feeling, as could blue with yellow. And from what yellow could tell right now, she was disappointed, and…sad.
“Im sorry, its just scary..” yellow confessed, moving so the her and blue were facing eachother.
Blue nodded, yellow brought a hand up and cupped her cheek, moving her bangs to the side revealing her eyes, which were teary.
“I love you blue…” whispered yellow, bringing her face close to blues.
“I love you too yellow…” she whispered back, leaning in to close the gap between her and yellow with a kiss, a tear sliding down her face as she did.
Their gems glowed a radiant light, coming together in a different way, their bodys merging to become one.
On the floor rested a tall green pearl, their gems side by side on their chest. A green leotard, light green sheer fabric to make up for shoulder pads and a skirt, her hair green and covering half of her face, simultaneously sticking up as well.
A fusion, they have become…a fusion
The two stayed like that for a minute, before the fusions body shook, the two pearls falling to the side.
“Ah! Im sorry i didnt mean too-” blue began saying before yellow cut her off with a kiss.
Blue blushed deeply, kissing back before pulling away, her hair out of her face for once, so yellow could see her perfectly.
“Its okay blue.” yellow said as she dragged blue back into her lap.
The two lapsed back into silence and watching the stars, before after awhile, yellow spoke up again.
“Y’know blue…i didnt…i didnt hate it.” yellow confessed, her voice barely above a whisper.
Blue stayed silent for another moment, tilting her head back in order to look at yellow better.
“Would..would you like to do it again sometime?” she asked nervously, her quiet timid nature somehow multiplying.
“I think i would..” yellow whispered back, pulling blue in for yet another kiss, the stars continuing to twinkle above them.
And the bad part?
Both pearls loved it.
